Agreed. Resident Evil holds up better due to its use of the 3DS shaders, but Street Fighter is a game full of compromises.

RE here almost holds up to Sheva from RE5 only because both have been squashed to 400x240. Weirdly, including this one, most RE:R screenshots I found online were higher resolution than the 3DS itself, so Capcom must have been going nuts distributing bullshots prior to its release.DJ_Lae

The Mercenaries one I'm pretty sure is a bullshot. However with SSF4, it was a rushed port that was done in just a few months and used a small cartridge. Thats why the graphics aren't up to par and the backgrounds are static.

You're probably talking about the 800x480 shots. Don't know why they would release that, but it's either 400x240 shots which people will blow up (Like Gamespot blowing them up to 720p,) or 800x240 shots which just show the same thing side by side at a different angle. 800x480 is a lot easier to look at too on a bigger screen.

Anyway, Revelations looks far and above anything we saw on the Wii imo. It could easily pass off as a current-gen console game and it even looks better than RE5 in some areas. (Then again, I think it looks even better than Vita games, so I could just be screwed in the head.) Also with SM3DL, it too was rushed. I believe it was their technical director who stated due to time constraints, they couldn't polish it more and get it running at 60FPS. Comming from SMG1/2, you can easily tell the game was rushed (but it's still very fun.)

It doesn't have the raw computational power as the Wii, and I think it can't push as many polys, but there's more to graphics than that.

i never said the 3ds version was superior... i just said it wasnt much different than playing the vita version.

BTW, in case people missed it, Rayman Origins demo was outsourced which is why it was bad.

I'll agree Revelations plays better. Golden Abyss has pretty unprecise aiming/shooting mechanics, but Golden Abyss looks far better than Revelations. The polygon counts on character models are far above the 3DS' capabilities, surfaces actually show bullet holes(one immersion breaker in revelations is that shooting at walls leads to no holes, which has been possible since last gen consoles), and beats it out in effects such as Nathan Drake geeting wet when stepping in water and it is all dependent onhow deep in the water he gets. Uncharted:Golden Abyss is much better. The only downside to it is that it does not run at the Vita's native screen resolution, and so it looks jaggier and blurrier than Revelations because that game runs at the 3DS' full resolution(which is still lower than Uncharted's resolution but isn't noticeable because of screen size). However, that is nothing. Example: God of War 3 on a SDTV may be blurrier, but is still far more technically proficient than God of War collection on an HDTV. You are high if you think Revelations is a better looking game than Uncharted

I think the 3DS graphics looks better than Wii. It can do shaders the Wii cant, plus the polygons are pretty high too.

The two are pretty close in comparison but the 3D effect has been said to rob some graphical power. Without it, it's possible that it could be as powerful if not close to the Vita.

Nah I think Revelations looks nearly as good. It's like this Resident Evil 5 one of the better looking Xbox 360/PS3games. Uncharted 1, still one of the better looking PS3 games. Revelations looks slightly worse then 5. Just as good character models, fantastic lighting and shaders. Lower poly count in some areas, some bad textures, missing shadows in some places. Uncharted looks slightly worse then Uncharted. Just as good bright colors and environments, matches in textures. Worse in character models compared to Uncharted 1 or Revelations. Also shaders not quite as impressive as Revelations or Uncharted 1. Really Revelations has better shaders and character models, Uncharted has better overall lighting, textures and colors. I would say they are the two best looking mobile games to date right now.

Until I see something that looks as juicy as Muramasa The Demon Blade on 3DS I won't say it looks better. I'll say that DOA and Kid Icarus look better than a bunch of the lower end Wii games, but only because the size of the screen makes it looks better. Nice to see DOA running at 60fps though, spectacular if you ask me.

Miramasa wasn't technically incredible game. It just had amazing art. It probably could run on the Gamecube.
