Anoyone else think it would be awesome if there were a Super smash bros game for the DS. The Ds realy need a good fighting game on the go! And the Graphics would be pretty nice also.

well I lack friends with DS. and if the DS online is as good as the wii (never played DS online) then it will be awful
maybe the roster would be too short or if they put more characters i think the graphics could be compromised... just a guess, besides that it would be great, just as the other SSB's
i'd like it if it were just like SSB 64 i don't care, i want a handheld SSB
Obviously they could make one but they won't as far as everyone knows but I don't understand why they can't work on one for the DS and it could bewith a lot of characters like Brawl and with wi-fi, I mean just lookat Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, it's probably the longest story game on the ds and has probably the best graphics of all the games on the ds so if Square-Enix can make it happen with KH I can't see why Nintendo can't with a SSB for the DS and DSi systems. :?
How do you know if Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days will be the longest RPG on the DS? And no, it doesn't have the best graphics. Dragon Quest: Monsters is much better.Obviously they could make one but they won't as far as everyone knows but I don't understand why they can't work on one for the DS and it could bewith a lot of characters like Brawl and with wi-fi, I mean just lookat Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, it's probably the longest story game on the ds and has probably the best graphics of all the games on the ds so if Square-Enix can make it happen with KH I can't see why Nintendo can't with a SSB for the DS and DSi systems. :?

IMO the whole point of SSB is to have easy multiplayer capabilities, have some friends over and play a game that is quick, easy to play, but fun
if you put that on a handheld, all of a sudden, it is really hard(compared to on a console) to play multi, and IMO that gets rid of the whole point of SSB, so this would not work

No, I can play the better version on the Wii so there's no point.Anoyone else think it would be awesome if there were a Super smash bros game for the DS. The Ds realy need a good fighting game on the go! And the Graphics would be pretty nice also.

my thoughts exactly. as a semi- serious smasher, i would aslo hate using a d-pad, as we would lose the option to use tilts.
You have a very good point, for people with no friends with the game and no Wi Fi options they would be stuck with single player and bots...ick. Still I don't think it enough for them to down right not make the game.IMO the whole point of SSB is to have easy multiplayer capabilities, have some friends over and play a game that is quick, easy to play, but fun

[QUOTE="gracideadude012"]WOw, u "Obviously" know nothing about video games. Neh I do know many thingies about videogames but that's my opinion and u can't change it, think what u want, just let me think my way and KH is my favorite franchise so that's the only thing I could think of so if you got another problem just say it. ;)Obviously they could make one but they won't as far as everyone knows but I don't understand why they can't work on one for the DS and it could bewith a lot of characters like Brawl and with wi-fi, I mean just lookat Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, it's probably the longest story game on the ds and has probably the best graphics of all the games on the ds so if Square-Enix can make it happen with KH I can't see why Nintendo can't with a SSB for the DS and DSi systems. :?

Yeeeeeah, no, it's not done with Nintendo's characters. And it goes the same to the rest of you out there.
But yes, it would be awesome, but only Nintendo knows for sure if they could makeit or not. I'm pretty sure majority of us would like for a portable version.

You could still do tilts with a D-pad you just have to press in between two directions on the D-pad. It works and I play SSBB with a D-pad all the time it.CONGLAGURATION! you are about the 500th "I want SSB for ds" Thread! I want it too, but it would have happened by now if nintendo wanted to do it (and yes Congratulation was spelled wrong on purpose)giga_yetiYa I know what you mean, but if people keep making these maybe nintendo will pay attintion (not). Still there may be a slight hope that nintendo will look into this project now that the DSi is out. I have heard that they wernt going to do it since DS might not be fast enough, now with the power up grade to the DSi...who knows?

Actually, it's lowering the chances.
If somebody mentions it, and Nintendo hears about it, then makes the game, they can get sued for stealing somebody's ideas. That's why they don't read the things they get as suggestions.
The best thing is to be quiet about things you want. Good things come to those who wait.

It works and I play SSBB with a D-pad all the time it.it would end up being really hyped, but in the end, there aren't enough things you can do with a DS, like I said before, you can't easily do multiplayer, and you can't 'tap' a control pad, so no dashing, no smashing, alot would have to be taken out so a game like this would have alot of hype, but suckxabu1You can do that I play with Wii Remote NES Style all the time it works great for SSBB. I do Smash attacks on SSBB all the time. You just have to press the direction and the A button at the same time. To power it up you have to hold it in.

It works and I play SSBB with a D-pad all the time it.that would require the Ds d pad to have various levels of depression sensory, which i dont beleive it does. in every DS platformer i've played, running requires a double tap in the desired direction. double tapping for tilts= terrible idea
ii've been wanting it to come out for as long as i caould remember but it never happend an i feel as though its to late in this consols life to make it now but i may be wrong(i hope im wrong) ,but it would be awesome to at least see what nintendo would have to say about it

exactly my point, it wouldn't workIT WILL NEVER COME OUT BECAUSE IT WON'T WORK!!!!!!! you can't tap, multiplayer is screwed up, and WHAT IS THE POINT OF SSB WITHOUT MULTIPLAYER???I'm sure it will come to the DSi.

and if you say you can, then how would you do a quick tilt attack? it just wouldn't work
All it means take out the walking & cut straight to the running, or start with a little of slow movement & gradually pick up as you press forward. Atacking done without the D-Pad. There is the basic side to side, up & down attacks. The smash attacks can still be done by using the D-Pad & the attack button at the same time. Instead of using the up button to jump, use the x button to jump. They could use the R button for guard and thenside to roll & L for grabing opponent. And button taps for combos &/or side stepping. And then learn from Brawl's online problems & shave around for the portable version. All this can be done with a little of common sense.

Never thought about that....well then *stops talking*No, they have used other peoples ideas, just not always to the T. The Japanese fans spoke up, & there was Marth & Roy on Melee. The fans did an uproar, & Sonic was on the Brawl. They even take suggestions on the surveys.
again people ar forgetting about tilt attacks! if you wanted to do a quick tilt attack, it wouldn't work, and running right away is not always good because you have to do a dash attack, so it just wouldn't work, a SSB for the DS WON"T WORK!All it means take out the walking & cut straight to the running, or start with a little of slow movement & gradually pick up as you press forward.
