While you can't go wrong with either because both are excellent games, it pretty much just depends on whether you would like a turn-based strategy game or an action RPG.
I can't say I've played Lunar Knights, but I can say I've played Advance Wars straight through three times in a row after I got it...What does that tell you? :)
If you have friends who have advance wars, buy it. But if you dont, buy lunar knights. I found AW:DS super boring untill I could play my friends. Then again, whatever you feel compelled to buy.

That tells me that you have one game... and not the other... ? That tells you that while he doesn't have one game, he does truly appreciate the other, which obviously should be taken into some consideration. You're comparing two completely different games however.
Well, they are two completely different games! If you can't afford many games and you want a game to last you for a seriously long time, then Advance Wars is the game to go for. Lunar Knights is great but won't last you anywhere near as long. Plus you can make your own maps on Advance Wars and challenge yourself.
LUnar Knights. This game is just straight foward and simple. no bull. If you liek zelda games, then your guna love it.malicem
I love Zelda games, but disliked Lunar Knights, which makes this post not true. What I dislike the most about Lunar Knights is the story. I'm not even sure if I've played a game with a story as bad as this one. Lunar Knights is definitely not crap, but it's, in my opinion, not worth the price. Advance Wars DS is awesome, though. I highly recommend it if you're interested.
UM NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO SHUT IT !!!!!! i love zelda i LOVE it i have the triforce tattoo'd on my back, and i think that lunar knights is one of the worst games out of 26 that i have bought for the DS dont get it, get advance wars its way better then that peice of crap game and if you want a sweet vampire killing game just stick with DoS

I own both games, and while both of them are equally fun in their own genre (action rpg vs turn based strategy), in terms of "bang for the buck", AWDS is a better deal. You get longer playtime, more replay value, and is really lengthy for its genre. Not to say Lunar Knights isn't a good title at all, it's a worthwhile game to play through, but if you had to pick between the two, it pretty much boils down to whether you'd like more hours put into it and have a fancy for turn-based strategy (in this case, AWDS) or you'd rather have a shorter, but more plot-oriented, zelda-ish action RPG (LK). Between the two, I'd choose Advance Wars Dual Strike as a starter (but get both eventually! They are great additions to your Nintendo DS collection).

Pick up Advace Wars first, it has a good amount of reply. Lunar knights is good but even if your not into anime games but I find it to be a little short.
