For you wii owners, how valuable would a better wii sensor be to you? I mean how valuable would it be if your wii remote cursor would be at the same spot on the screen as where you are pointing at the TV and not the sensor bar? No matter what the size of your TV is! And it was wireless!

If you are playing a shooter, wouldn't you like to be able to just aim at the screen instead of haveing to aim it at the sensor? For big TV's, you would be able to aim at any part of the screen and it would hit it at that same spot that you aimed. You know, just plain better! 2GHz is good but 3GHz is better, you know.

If it was 100% accurate I would pay $0 for it because it would be in the programming, not the sensor bar itself.

For large TV's (+40") the wii sensor is restricting with the movment as if it was on any other smaller size screen. It would be awesome!

Not true. It is complex. As soon as I get a wii I will "get" one.

I have a 52inch tv and I know what you mean. It is slightly off when you aim near the outside of the screen

You always point at the screen not to the sensor bar.how do you jumped to the conclusion that it does not work well when you even do not own a wii?

The aiming in Farcry is perfect, fast and accurate, should be the standard. Its mostly a programming thing but it still doesn't correspond to what your pointing the Wiimote at, I'm not fussed about that personally.

Well for hard gamers it might be important that the reticule is at the same spot that the wii mote is pointing at the screen. Try it; get the wii mote very close to the TV.

Agreed. I play on a 20 inch, though.

This is why they say the optimal distance is beyond 3 feet.

for those people who have trouble with accuracy, wouldn't it be nice if it was less sensitive?

It is such high quality that the cost of just the tech parts are more than whole current wii sensor.

Nobody will read this anyway; it looks like this topic is dead. :(

The Sensor is fine.  Nintendo spent so much time and money into the R&D of the motion control.  I have faith that they created the best system possible.

I guess my tv isn't big enough to realize I'm technically pointing above it and not where I really want.

WOW!!! You people are forgiving. I thought you people would be unsatisfied with the current wii cursor sensing bar. I guess being picky is what separates the gamers from the game players.

Um, no. Why fix something that isn't broken? This has nothing to do with what type of gamer someone is.

Hm.. I guess people wouldn't even care if I did tell them that they could get one. The polls say it all. (it is not under $30) The people who want it are probably the ones who would make it themselves.

Yea, I'm sure all the "real hardcore" gamers out there are already hacking and slicing and inventing all sorts of new tools to help with the Wii's shotty sensor bar. I'm just gonna go pose in the corner, and pretend I'm a gamer with my "factory standard."

My only complaint about the sensor bar is that it's so thin that it is difficult to actually get it to sit straight on the edge of the table. It weighs so little that the cord actually weighs it down and pulls it sideways. I have seen some places selling wireless ones, but that seems like quite a waste of batteries.

its not neccessary to make a new sensor bar the one they have is fine, although I wouldn't mind having the wireless one....

My only problem is that for the way I have my TV setup, I have to be sitting at the right level for it to be as accurate as it should be. I messed around with all the different options and ended up puting it below my TV. If I stand up while playing, it occasionally misses it. Maybe a slightly bigger bar would solve that problem for me.
