sonic has failed in making a game worth playing for a long time, even the critically acclaimed 2d ones aren't really all that great, since it's only because they follow the same formula as the original, and add more characters (and that's all)

the 3d games are lackluster, and they should just focus on creating something good. Sonic is dead...

Sonic and the Secret Rings was a great game.
Sonic Rush/Adventure were also great.
Sonic 06...?Not so much.

But that does not mean that Sega is going to continue making bad Sonic games. They're really trying.

It's just sad to see people bash...or praise for that matter (I'm guilty :P) something that has zero information about it. There's nothing to judge yet except one measly picture (Which, IMO, looks pretty cool) and a title.

Let's just wait and see, shall we?

Wow, I remember the days when a Sonic game would have been a big deal, now everyone is bummed out and disappointed by a new exclusive Sonic. Just goes to show how badly the franchise has lost favor with gamers. Truly sad.

Look on the bright side though, Sonic Team is busy with Sonic Unleashed, so maybe someone else with be developing this title.

I think Sega gets it's new ideas from YouTube and fan fiction, that's the only way to explain the hedgehog/girl makeout session, the Werehog and now this. I really think they have some dude scouring Youtube, FanFiction.Net and forums and relaying this turd to the lazy fools at Sonic Team.

Well, they can do it because they know people like you will buy it anyway.

SOnic with a Sword? That is way out of character for him. Sonic never needed a weapon to kcik butt. He defeated Metal Robots with his own body!

SEGA could have taken this idea and easly focused on a differet SOnic character. This game does not mach Sonic's character. Sonic about speed, not hack and slashing an enemy. The game would match Knuckles character more. I see Knuckles character as a fighter, unlike Sonic who likes to speed though everyhing.

This game makes is like if Nintendo made Luigi's Mansion and called it "Mario's Mansion instead." Instead of aving Luigi, he be relpaced by MArio doing the same thing. That would have been to out of character fo Mario. He is a brave warrior that does not need to really on Tools but his own abilities and power ups. So Nintendo played the smart move and foced the game around Luigi that match his character.

I've not played it so I can't say much. Just seems like another way for SEGA to get fast money. Becasue the new Sonic fans go crazy over the fact it a SOnic game.
