I have heard many postive thigns about animal crosssing so I thought that I would give it a shot. I thought that it is very slow, boring, lame, and overall not an exciting game at all. Most people posting on here seemed to enjoy it so I was just wondering if I am the only one that thought this game was a bust?!

Yes, Animal Crossing can be slow and boring at times, but it can be enjoyable if you pop on once a day or so and just fish and relax. I often catch myself playing it in the early mornings before work just because it takes my mind off the day ahead of me. But yes, not all games are for everyone and it does not come to a surprise you do not like Animal Crossing. I mean I can't see everyone thinking that doing odd jobs/tasks daily in a game is fun. At least you gave it a shot though!

Hmmm, Animal Crossing isn't as exciting as a 1st person shooter. *gasp*. It isn't for everyone, but I can be fun.

Sounds like you're a smarty who didn't research a game before he bought it.

it's definitely not the kind of game you want if you only plan on playing one game at a time. i play for about an hour a day most of the time before i move onto other things, whether it be other games or something else entirely.

i like building up my house, my town and filling up the museum. the real fun is in playing the game with others. I share the town with my girlfriend, who games far less, so it's nice that we can share in this one. and I play online with family and friends.

it's more about socializing that about getting to the last level or beating the last boss.

Obviously I know not all games are for everyone, but I actually did do my research and it turned out it isnt what I expected at all. The game just has a an overall slow type of play to it.

I like games that have the MMO feel while not being actually MMO, such as Animal Crossing. It's relaxing and the kind of game I can play every day without being worried about getting stuck. That said, I still think the game is better suited for handheld which is why I'm relucant to buy it on Wii.

You do know that the game is not for everyone you should research your games. And I think it is a great and fun game to play.

it's nice that there is a variety of games available for the Wii, don't you think?

for me, one of the most over-rated games is SSBB. I was bored with it quick.

It's not that it's a bad game, far from it. it's just not for me.

I can understand why someone would not enjoy a game like Animal Crossing. If they play SSBB all the time... this is gonna be like watching grass grow.

But if you're the kind of gamer that likes to kick back once in a while, then this is gonna be right up your alley.

I, personally, can't get enough of it.

lol dude you need to learn that those are opinions of others and their mind's don't work in the same way your's does, so its not their fault you don't like the game, but I personally like it. I thought it was pretty boring at first but once you pay off your first part of the house the game gets pretty interesting cause thats when you actually have do find furniture and make money for your house and such.

It's a relaxing game. It's also a social game. It's not an exciting game, and it's not meant to be one. It's for those people who just want to play something without dying, or without having to kill anything. It's also a pretty damn disappointing game in the fact that they just don't improve anything about it. :(

The way I see it, Animal Crossing is meant to be a very relaxing and non aggravating game. Iono, I found that its a game you can pick up and play at anytime.

I found it really boring, just like harvest moon. You do nothing, and yes its relaxing because you fall asleep from boredom.

Its essentially loads of stuff that you could do in real life, but now your doing it on a couch.

And for those who talk about socializing...go talk to real people.

I know because in real life people definitely walk around with a shovel digging up those random X's in the ground.

Do you know what socializing means? It means interacting with people. The term applies to both "real" people and people you game with. Don't hold yourself higher than other people here, because by being here on an Internet forum, you're on our level.
