I sure hope so because I cannot find a new copy of the original anywhere and I do not purchase used games.

I am really hoping for another 2D sidescroller like Super Metriod. Theres nothing wrong with used games though, especially DS carts.
There is actually a slim to none chance of a new Metroid Prime Hunters, so don't even bother. The next game will most likely be a 2.5D sidescroller (maybe not even 2.5D).Pyro767And whats your reasoning? I personally think there should be, itd be awesome just like MPH, I really don't know why they stopped printing it though...
MP: I enjoyed Hunters for the first two levels despite it's rather difficult control, but after I found out that everything is recycled I jumped ship. If they make another MP: Hunters, they cannot recycle their material. 3 levels? wtf? I relieved myself by playing MP: Fusion for hours afterwards... I hear Moon is a pretty good FPS though:shock: hmmm
Honestly, I would not count on it. We need a new 2D Metroid game, anyway. The Prime series is being milked far too much. :|
And whats your reasoning? I personally think there should be, itd be awesome just like MPH, I really don't know why they stopped printing it though... My reasoning is that Retro is no longer making Metroid for Nintendo, therefore there will be no more Metroid Prime games, therefore there will not be a Metroid Prime Hunters 2. Another thing, MPH didn't sit well with lots of Metroid fans, so I'd just clear the thought out of your head now.[QUOTE="Pyro767"]There is actually a slim to none chance of a new Metroid Prime Hunters, so don't even bother. My concern is that the cartridges might be dirty and that the dirt might transfer from the cartidges to the contacts of the DS itself. Then I might have problems with all of my games. After reading some posts in this forum i have also become aware that apparently some people sell fake games which do not work properly. I would imagine my chances of grabbing one of those would drastically increase while purchasing a used game.
These will always be online. As long as AR exists, these annoying people will screw around online.glitchers/hackers

I hope not because Hunters was barely a Metroid game. It was just an FPS with the Metroid name. I'd rather they make a new 2D Metroid game on the DS. Leave the 3D games to the console. You gotta remember that there are a whole flock o' young'uns who got introduced to the franchise through "Metroid Prime" on the GameCube... to them, that IS 'Metroid'... I see what you mean, but technically "MP:H" was a Metroid game. I wasn't wowed by it either, as a representation of either wing of the franchise. If there IS a new one, and who's to say they won't do a DSi game along with the Wii versions of the old trilogy of FPS-type 'Metroid' games? Seems like a no-brainer...
... I must dig that game out and finally finish the thing proper.
PS - Like the screen name of 'UltimateRidley'... Ridley Scott has green-lit a prequel/ reimagining of the 'Alien' franchise, which is where the 'Prime' devs got "Ripley"... so many things coming together, maaaaannn... faaaarrrr OOOOoooouut!!!
:P
MPH wasn't really a metroid game. It didn't even have metroids.... Give me Metroid Dread :(MinishdrivebyI am hoping Nintendo will do this now. We thought they didn't listen, but now with Pokemon Silver/Gold for DS, they do listen, so if people ask for it enough they may make a 2D Metroid game for DS... but for how long do we need to plead with them before they take it into consideration? Gamers have been asking for this for so long.
