I remember playing great games like Slam City and Night Trap and I'd love to play them again for nostalgia purposes. Will it ever happen?

[QUOTE="BrunoBRS"]from what i've seen, CD games won't show up because of size limitations. so no sega CD or saturn.LoserMikeThat's false. There's some Turbo-Grafx CD games on the Virtual Console. but turbografx CD games are smaller than saturn games, and probably smaller than sega CD game too.

The average CD fits 700 MB. While I understand the games come in different sizes. On average Turbo-Grafx CD games were larger because they had red-book audio.
Only Sonic CD should be on there if they did that.

Excellent point. Virtual Console games are no longer CD's and can break the rules for how much memory is needed to contain them by means of compression.
There's a big problem with naysaying Sega CD games can't be redone though. Vay for Sega CD game that has already been rereleased on the Iphone. While the game itself isn't noteworthy (Working Designs touched it once, for what it's worth) the fact is they added to it and it still ran fine.
Just don't come between a fan of Snatcher and the possibility of Sega CD being relavant. Or Shining Force fans for that matter.
were there even any sweet games that were on Sega CD? I can't recall a single one....
danger_ranger95
For me it's not an issue of could it, but rather what games would I want for it? I can't think of any games other than Sonic I would want from Sega CD.wiifan001

Lunar:Silver Star
Lunar: Eternal Blue
Shining Force CD
Road Rash
I could care less about Sega CD, and I doubt we'll ever see them on the VC. What's next? Saturn games? Virtual Boy?
Khadaj32
Virtual Boy? No. Although Nintendo loves busting out useless periferals...this won't ever happen for a very small handfull of titles.
Saturn? Why not?
Panzer Dragoon
Dragon Force
Phantasy Star Collection
Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete
Lunar: Eternal Blue Complete
Shining in the Holy Ark
Shining Force 3
Dark Savior
Tactics Ogre
Since Sonic CD is the game every one wants couldn't they some how re-release it on Wii Ware? TheColbertoh yea... maybe they could finally finish it. they forgot to for sonic gems collection and SCD

don't forget guardian heroes :Dand How large are the Saturn games compared to the N64 games?LegatoSkyheartIt depends on the game, but in general Saturn games are much larger. But you can put that idea to rest. The Wii isn't powerful enough to emulate the Saturn.

You, sir, win this thread. Great idea!

It's just not the Wii. For some reason, Saturn emulation has been abnormally cumbersome.

It's hard to tell one processor that it's actually two. Even harder when it's dedicated.
Sega got around all this when they made Sega Ages, but you know, based all western releases on the strength of Outrun 2006.
Leaving us to never enjoy this or that.
It's not too late for one last round of PS2 rehashes sega..
I'd like to see some sega cd games on vc like Frankenstein, Bram Stroker's Dracula, Don't need sonic CD (Already have two copies), and a Sequel of Eternal Champions 2: Challenge from the Darkside online for WiiWare (Oh how I dream of the day I get to play a new Eternal Champions online, I'd destroy you all with Shadow).
But I'd much rather see Sega 32X gameson the VC or sequels on WiiWare. I'd love to play through Tempo 2 and Chaotix 2.
Is that a joke? I mean it's gotta be a joke, right? Slam City and Night Trap are some of the worst games ever made. SegaCD itself is a joke, though I'd like to see a remake of Snatcher.I remember playing great games like Slam City and Night Trap and I'd love to play them again for nostalgia purposes. I'd pay for Night Trap...:P
[QUOTE="Kojo222"]Am I the only one who liked Double Switch?nini200I loved Double Switch and I still play it. That game is hard as ever if you don't know what you're doing though. Double Switch was a lot better than Night Trap, the two probably being the only two games of their genre, but still nothing special.
Only Sonic CD should be on there if they did that.

You already can play Sonic CD on your Wii as part of the Sonic Gems Collection Gamecube game. It also has Sonic R, Sonic The Fighters (!) and assorted Game Gear Sonics.
[QUOTE="dino77c"]not everyone is young... they (i should include myself :P) just skipped the sega CD :P and ok, now we have 2 decent games. I had a seaga CD... the genesis was a million times better...I know you guys are young wii fans and I'ma let you finish but Snatcher for sega cd is one of the best games of ALL TIME
BrunoBRS
N64 games are larger than Sega CD games, and about the same as Saturn games.
It really shouldn't be a problem.
