The only public information is that Chibi-Robo, Mario, Garet(From Golden Sun) and Chocbo will be playable, apparently Square-enix was really excited about the project, so it's possible more final fantasy characters to be playable too(Think Mario Hoops).

Also, nintendo has stated that the control will be Stylus almost exclusively, and that "This control scheme will feel very natural, while allowing complex moves to be executed with ease".
