Ok so my brother got a Wii and I think the concept of using 3 dimensional movement in controlling game is brilliant, anything that encourages people to actually get a bit of exercise is good in my book. However very few great games have been released for the Wii so far, probably only Galaxy and Sports really stand out. Very few developers seem to be interested in developing games specifically for the Wii and the Wii specific games above have proved to be the best ones so far. The technology is definitely limited compared to the PS3 and the Xbox360.

I am sure that Nintendo are profiting well from the sales of consoles however I just wonder how long they will be able to justify a console without many great games. The PS3 also has the advantage that now HD-DVD is a dead duck an in-built Blu-Ray player is definitely attractive to buyers, as it offsets the higher price of the console.

man, you should be crazy, maybe there arrent that many awesome games for wii , but the fact is that they use to think that it wont be a great success as it is now that why there arrent that many games.

By the way the wii way of playing is a revolution so they must began slowly for people to get used to it, as u can see on medal of honor vanguards up to medal of honor 2:heroes, the game-play really evolved the controls are much better. Even doe if the wii make u make exercise , that will help to end the gamer esterotipe and stop the obsesed gamers that play 8 hours in a roe, because they will loose weight or get tired. Also nintendo wont launch all the great games at the beginnings they will wait fot the people to get used to the wii mote and leuch them little by little, something that will help them ell more games becuse u will buy a normasl game while u wait for the kicking ass game u want, and it open the doors to new gamers with the wii the others ways of laying will get obsolete in my opinion.

This seems awfully 'System wars like'... but I humor you. I figured you would define or explain what you mean by 'obsolete'? You see it is important to know because I still play my SNES. Is that obsolete? Thus I believe you mean that 'is anyone else worried that you Wii is gonna not have new releases soon?' And in response I would like to slap you and scream, WAKE UP! (but I won't) It has plenty of games still coming. The end.

I'm teeter-tottering between whether or not this topic meets the criteria for it being a System Wars topic. Given that you described the Wii as having "very few great games" and then compared it with other consoles, I'm gonna fall on the side of it being such.

Feel free to mosey on down to System Wars and repost this if you'd like to have this discussion, but I think this thread just bears too many hallmarks of an imminent System Wars flame war for it to belong in a specific console forum.
