I know a some people have been complaining about how it's a "waste of time" or whatever, but I'm actually pretty pumped for some of these remakes!

Metroid Prime 3 had an amazing control scheme and I can't wait to play MP1/MP2 with that same control scheme. I think it's well worth it. Plus, it's a good distraction while waiting for other games to come out. What "wiimakes" are you guys looking forward to?

I'm excited for Chibo Robo and Mario Power Tennis. Never played Chibi so hopefully I won't miss out this time! And Mario Power Tennis might be a tennis game worth buying for Wii! Some people habe been discussing these Power Shots though. ?

Because remakes were explained at the start of the Wii's lifecycle as the only games some devs could bring to the console because they didn't plan on the Wii doing so well. They were weak substitutions until they started making games for the console from the ground up

Nintendo made the Wii, there is no excuse that Nintendo doesn't have software for it.

The idea that "Gamecube users missed out" doesn't fly. Nintendo has never made a game that you needed a prior game to figure out. Plus who cares if users missed out? Nintendo's job is to make sure that everyone is caught up? If you missed games last gen then sucks to be you, do better this gen. If you want to play the same games again with different controls then thank you very much for destroying gaming by making sure nothing ever advances and we just play the same things over and over and over.

The Wii is all about adding a new dimension to gaming. That was supposed to be the plan until Nintendo saw how companies like Capcom could do the smallest amount of work and made money hand over fist and now they're deciding to cash in on it's users as well.

i'm not excited either. i didnt play any of those, because this is my first console, but i'm not feeling like missing much. im not a graphics whore, but pikmin really does look ugly to me. and mario tennis? what's with this mario sports games anyways? i dont wanna play such crap. either i wanna play soccer, golf or tennis, then i want sth realistic or i want to play a good platformer and then i play mario. i dont need no funny character sports games.

that confuses me because no where did he mention Wii Music or NEW anything.. He simply stated that Nintendo doesn't have software for the Wii, which is why i asked.. Nintendo hasn't made any software/games for the Wii?

Wii music was just an exampe from my side, he didnt mention that. I think he's mad that Nintendo stopped creating new games and just rerelease old ones. but maybe i'm wrong. lets wait for him to clear it up.

You're kidding right?

The first year the Wii was released Nintendo released two games in the first quarter. One "core" game and one "expanded audience" game
The second year Nintendo released two games in the first quarter. One "core" game and one "expanded audience" game
The third year Nintendo released NOTHING in the first quarter

That just happens to be the first time that's happened since they announced the remakes

I'm sure it's all coincidence though

The only thing i liked about MP3 was the controlls so to see them put on the other two good primes is wonderful. I also want to get pikmin cause all thru playing the 1st one i was thinking this would be better on a computer with a keyboard and mouse and i really hope they kind of take that approach with it, but i dont wanna spend 30 bucks so i can get to the parts with mass pikmin murder and stop playing...again

Metroid Prime 3's control is far superior to that of the original Prime Games, so slapping on the Corruption control onto the original Prime games can only improve their quality.

All the other Wii-makes will have horrible control schemes.

Pikmin? IGN raved about how controlling Olimar and the pointer independently (in the wiimake) was so much better than having them tied together in the original.

Um, yeah, I guess it all depends on perspective. For people who actually missed the games, maybe these are good news, but not for me, because I've sticked with Nintendo forever and I played the originals, I mean, what's the point or repackaging the game and selling it for 30 bucks? 30 bucks! It just another gimmick. The games were freackinly awesome without those controls, for me, it is Nintendo only trying to get more money into their pockets. I want new games! Pikmin 3 for an instance would be cool. Sigh. I just expected more from Nintendo games. Anyway, some 3rd party games actually look pretty good, like Deadly Creatures and House of the Dead: Overkill, even Tenchu looks decent, but I haven't played em, so I will refrain from saying anything else about them.

Uh, dangerous ground there Jayson. Are you actually talking just about Wii Controls vs Standard Controls or Standard vs All other controls, because personally, and quite arguably a lot of people, like a lot more better mouse and keyboard controls for FPS's. Yeah, I do not play a lot of FPS on consoles because they fell alot more natural on a PC (except MP series, buth thats another story, FPA, I don't care, that's not the discussion). Anyway, Wii FPS controls (and games) are not very solid yet, and maybe they will never be. I mean, MoH Heroes 2 and MP3 had good controls, but not good enough to dazzle me away to the point of never wanting to play with other kind of configuration (note the hyperbole please). Haha, maybe The Conduit will do the job, or maybe not, who know!

I can imagine the new control scheme to be awkward and out-of-place in each game.

......

I cant believe some people are so passionate about this subject! lol

It's just a simple thing..... if you don't want the wiimakes, don't buy em.

If you do... well, I made this topic for people to express excitement about it :P

For me, the MP1/MP2 wiimakes are totally worth it. Prime 3 had such a brilliant control scheme... it will be well worth it to replay 1/2 with MP3 controls. IMHO. please note that last acronym. It's very important.

Looking forward to the Prime games. Are they updating the visuals as well? That would be pretty sweet if so.... I don't understand the hate for this, just because they are making remakes doesn't mean they aren't working on new titles.

I think people are overreacting a little to this. First of all, it's not as if Nintendo has stopped making new software to make these: there are FOUR Miyamoto titles in development. Also, it's not as if Nintendo it's it's 1st tier teams to do this stuff. All this is is brushing up the games a bit, and Nintendo's 15th tier can do that just as well. Personally, I might get jungle beat, but I own all the others on the GC.

I am excited to buy the Gamecube games after their Wiimake comes out.

I would like to thank Nintendo for destroying the heinous pricing of some black market games. I thought only ATLUS cared about fans enough to profit over the black market, but apparently Nintedo cares as well....

Except Cubivore, ironic that their only joint venture be among the rarest of all Gamecube efforts.

I'm down with wiimakes of gamecube classics. I didn't have a gamecube, and used gamecube games are a bit hard to find around here. Serve me up a heaping portion of metroid prime 1/2 please!
