i used to have a DS but in september i bought myself a brand new ds lite, and though it hasnt had any major problems it feels more flimsy than the older model the plastic seems weak and sometimes the touchscreen can actually be pressed down itself, its not like i havnt taken good care of it either. anyone else feel the same?

also im glad nintendo have upped the security on their cartridges now cos there was way too much piracy going on DS wise.

Lol at security. I wasn't aware there was any security.

DS Lite is really well made imo.

It feels flimsy, but it is surprisingly sturdy considering its design.

They "upped the security" with the release of Jet Impulse, a new chip with new encryption. At first, it caused quite a big commotion among piraters. Needless to say, a day later, it was cracked...

Yep, that's why I kept my old one instead of getting rid of it like 90% of the gamers did.

The DSLite is just as strong as the old one if you use it under "normal" conditions.

I travel with it and I've never had a problem.

All systems aren't without their flaws. If a system was made without any flaws then its the end of the world.

If you use it under normal conditions, the DS Lite is just as good as the old DS, except with better brightness/lightning, a sleek/smaller design so it can more easily fit into your pockets (some people I know have had trouble fitting the original DS into their pockets, especially if they wore tight jeans), and a more appropriately placed power button. I can hardly see much downgrades except that some of the colors do get dirty easily.

The DS Lite is a great piece of hardware and it is made very well even though it seems very flimsy but hey drop a psp and then drop a ds lite bet you the ds wins. I had the old model and i think this model is way better and hey now it doesnt look like a giant clam shell anymore.lol
