they removed the photography

placed a greater emphasis on guns

allow the option to save at the end of cases as well as at sve stations

the zombies are fewer but harder to kill

allowed a special attack for after they've been stunned by a gun

sound like any previous capcom game?

they're making it into something more like a resident evil 4.5, it's running on the same enging, if you replace toilets with typewriters and cases with chapters you have resident evil 4's exact save system this is their final test run before trhey give us resident evil 5, buy it buy it

They're destroying the game

When you have to change a game it loses the appeal the first game had. They're taking out what would make great sense for the Wii in the camera and watering down the number of zombies and making them just as stupid as the ones in the first game.

They take more hits to kill, they're not any smarter

Capcom should be embarrassed of themselves for offering this game to Wii owners.

Jasonguy, I am pleased if they can make it have 100 zombies on-screen at once and harder to kill. This way they keep the difficulty ballanced. You must understand they still have a lot of time to improve tha game. I'm sure the game will turn out good and score a 7-8.:)

This game is no RE4. It looks worse than a first gen PS2 game and they still aren't achieving what made the 360 game so fun. At the moment this game looks like a joke.

Yes, complaining about making the game longer and making it harder, technically making it more fun. Yes, they're f***ing it up entirely.

You think that taking out key elements, watering down the gameplay, and adding nothing new to the mix is making something better?

Well you and I see it differently then, I always thought less is bad, you on the other hand think less is a good thing

i still think it's gonna be a good game (8.0 is my personel opinion, not a prediction of gamespots score), and i think it's a good thing they are moving towards the resident evil side of things, the original dead rising was fantastic as is, but it was one of the few games that needed that hemi of a processor 360 fanboys like to brag about resident evil 4 was a masterpiece orginally made one the gamecube and perfected, if it wasn't already, by the wii's controls

I think it's gonna be bad, uses the RE4 engine but doesn't look anywhere close to RE4, looks pretty horrible actually. Recycled gun sounds from RE4 (laziness), no camera, it's not even the same game.

I guess that's a good thing though, cause I can still say it's 360 exclusive.

Depends on the situation, of course. And no, you're misquoting me; I merely said that the game would be more fun with a harder difficulty; I never said the overall performance would be any better.

This is why I usually want to avoid Wii forums, there are way to many people that are ok with dumbed down versions of other consoles games. Sure in the 360 and PS3 boards they want games from the other consoles, but they want the same game on both consoles. Too many people here want games to come out on the Wii and they are ok with them having things taken out.

I agree with Jayson of course. Remove the pictures, less enemies, and making it more shooting destroys the game. The entire point of the game was to use the objects in the environment as weapons while fighting tons of old school zombies (the slow and stupid kind), and the camera was kind of cool and made sense since it was his job. How exactly is removing features making the game more fun and harder (no idea where he got longer)?

I disagree in one area, if Capcom releases the game and people buy it when it is obviously not as good on the Wii, I say good job Capcom and that the people that bought the game should be embarrassed.

As much as I would like to see this do great, this game looks like garbage. The graphics look worse than a PS2 game, the number of zombies on screen is laughable, and Capcom has yet to impress me. Besides Zac & Wiki, all we've seen is a bunch of ports, even if they were good.

If they can increase the number of zombies on screen, then I wouldn't mind about the graphics. But come one Capcom

It does look terrble imo, but I expect it to be polished down the road after being completed. If they release it as is....YUCK!

I never played the original, and I can understand some of your arguements here....but CAPCOM never said this was a watered down port. They basically changed it into a different game, so how can it be compared to the original?

I'm just going to wait for a review. All I know is that if it sucks, it's not Nintendo's fault: it's Capcoms.

For quite possibly the first time to date, I fully agree with you Jaysonguy. I mean, by changing the game around this much they are making it into an entirely different game, so when someone asks you if you've ever played Dead Rising...well, you haven't - you played a version of Dead Rising that was watered-down and incorporates stuff from Resident Evil 4. They are basically selling us Resident Evil for a 4th time, and throwing in the graphics from a 360 game that looked pretty fun but we'll never know, because, we Wii owners never actually got the chance to play it.

coming from someone who doesn't have a 360 and loves the genre to death I am massively hyped for this game. Maybe the 360 version will be better. Only time will tell and frankly I don't care. I want it watered down or not

For me it all depends on how many zombies are on screen at once. It sounds lame, but I've played the original and giant hordes of zombos is the main draw of the game. The first screens they showed had around 12 on screen at once. The newer ones are up to about 20-25. Capcom claims they're shooting for about 100. If they can even hit 75 everything should be fine.

If this game can score 7+ then, for me at least, it's a welcome addition to the Wii library. I just hope they're working on something nice to satisfy the millions of Wii owners who supported them by purchasing RE4 and UC(and even Z&W). It would suck if companies got into the groove of using ports on the Wii to fund games on other systems.

Oh well, good games is good games. We'll have to wait for the reviews.
