Anyone else praying that NP's mystery announcement is Zelda?

I hate hyping up for a let-down as much as the next guy
All I'm saying is, it's possible
Especially with Nintendo's apology to hardcore gamers

More than anything
If anyone has reason to believe this might happen
or
If anyone has any solid proof that this will NOT happen
I'd like to know

wouldnt be an announcement, since we already know its being developed, but i'd really like to see some images, maybe even a full preview.

It probably won't happen. Though I don't have proof, there is no proof that there is. Right now, they're taking a different approach. The hardcore crowd isn't their main market at this point, as they're taking a extreme approach to the casual crowd, like Wii Music. Fer example, E3 '08 (BOOOO!).The only good thing that was announced was WiiSpeak and Motion Plus, but then there's Animal Crossing. It's Nintendo's own game and they're not putting in motion controls, and it has a graphical update, but not all the different from the GC and DS games. AC has so much potential but they're just leaving it where it is now. To me, that shows they're not really taking the hardcore seriously. Didn't mean to go on a slightly off topic rant, but I got a $250 console collecting dust.

They did say that the Zelda team's working on something, but that something may or may not be Zelda. 'Least they're making Pikmin.

NP almost never (as far as I can remember) has ever unvieled something of a megaton/zomg nature that we haven't already heard about either a week before or earlier, it's usually just some preview on an already known game or something we'll probably know 1-2 weeks before the issue gets shipped so don't get your hopes up...UDA1983

Normally I would agree with this, but in the last 3 issues alone they have revealed.

• Castlevania DS
• Castlevania: Judgement
• Sonic And the Black Knight
• Megaman 9(thats a megaton)

So they have definetly earned at least a little of our trust.

The game will not be Zelda though, to think that Nintendo would allow Nintendo Power to show the first images of Zelda is mind boggling, how anyone believes that is beyond me.

"Plus you'll get an exclusive look at a hot new title that didn't appear at the show. Please look forward to it!"

I still agree that it's highly unlikely
But this brings a lttle hope to us hopefuls.

And it was Castlevania.

There is no chance whatsoever that Nintendo reveals one of it's top games in Nintendo Power.

That's like showing the Superbowl on public access

-Kirby: The Crystal Shards (N64)

-Donkey Kong (N64)

Kid Icarus (NES)

not to be pesemistic but it could just be a game that was already announce but not shown at e3 like tos, fragile, etc. (not saying i wouldn't like to see those). I just don't want to let my hopes get up too much for a new zelda.kingofcosmos231
