Hell yeah, this game will get my (X360 lovers) friends involved who are all sour toward the wii. Also, my sister use to play alot of games with me on GC and 64 and she isn't really too fond of wii. But, when I showed her this and the wii wheels she was all for it and she loved Double Dash soo.. I'm as hyped for this game just as much as I'm hyped for Brawl.

I heard around April now since Brawl got pushed back. At the Fall Conference in Japan they announced that the Japanese release would be sometime in the Spring of 2008. I highly doubt we will be getting it that much before them during Q1.
am i the only one who don't like tilting my wii remote for driving games. i mean, for me, it's not controllable compared to the analog stick. well, hopefully, it's compatible with the GC, wavebird, or the classic controller. BTW, im all excited for mario kart for the wii. i love all the installments from the previous versions:Super nintendo, n64, gc, and ds version!
Im looking forward to getting a few games before i even start to get interest in Mario Kart Wii.
EA Playground, SM Galaxy and SSMB, also Manhunt 2 looks quite good for the wii, and so does resident evil umbrella chronicles, and maybe s&m at the olympics
But I suppose you could call Mario Kart Wii 'A must get' if its like the previous mario karts. (Plus big point Wii Wheel!!)
I'm excited about it, but i hope they dont have tilt controls... which i suspect they do because of the wheel. I'd have liked it if you steered with the nunchuck, braked with Z gas with B aim with remote for weapons, and shoot with A, that would be great. Tilting the remote makes it feel unresponsive and shooting weapons won't be as fun that way.
Yes and no. I have a lot of games that I'm excited for between now and then which I'm more excited for, including Mario Galaxy (my most anticipated game of the year, and possibly of all time), and SSBB, along with some 360 games. Also, I've never played a MK game before, so I'm not as excited about it as I could be. But I'll definitely be getting it, and will be more excited for it around the time that it is released.
A recent interview said the game was to come out first quarter along with ssbb and wii fit(all spread out of course). But, the very fact that this game supposedly has 12 player online and includes the best tracks from every mariokart(snes-DS), makes me wanting this game more then any Mario kart before it. It also looks a lot faster than double dash, and you can actually jump(stupid double dash). It looks like this game is gonna have everything MarioKartDS had and more...
I'm pretty sure you can also play it with the classic controller... or maybe using the Nunchuks analog stick. I know they said you could play the game using analog control but I forget how...
yeah the online multiplayer is gonna be awesome. I would really like to see the tag team thing that they did in double dash as a seperate mode or something.
Well, im sure nintendo will make the tilting with the remote almost perfect. They wouldnt just slap on crappy controls to a game like this, so im pretty sure this will be the best racing game on the wii yet.

I'll be more excited when we get more info... We hardly know anything about this game other than the online (battle/race) the tilt controls (thats a given...) and motorcycles.
It would be cool if they made a website like SSBB updates on karts, racers and tracks... That'll never happen though

I doubt we'll see it before early to mid 2009. Nintendo delays all their games. SMBB was a launch title and now they are telling me that Mario Kart will come out the same quarter?? I don't buy it. I hope there are no friend codes and at least 8-16 racers online. If they can do online like Medal of Honor Heroes 2, then I'm sold!
