Brawl is a dual layer disc and some Wii's may not be able to read it. You'll need to send in your Wii for repair by filling out this form. Don't worry though, it's free even if your not in warranty anymore. Nintendo is aware of the problem and will fix your Wii to play Brawl.PlasmaBeam44
The machine was open to clean the disk and it's missing peices now I doubt they would servive it now.

Oh, well then I guess your out of luck. You might as well just go get a new Wii then.
Ya I actually think it may be a issue with just first gen Wii's becasue my laser was spotless, so maybe nintendo is trying to coverup a larger issue with the first gen Wii's.Jynxzor
I have a day 1 Wii and I've had absolutely no problems with Brawl, so I don't think it's a huge coverup as you are accusing Nintendo of. They've admited there are some issues with certain consoles, and they've also told everyone that they're willing to fix the consoles for free, so I don't understand why people are getting upset about this.
So, there's nothing wrong....unless you decided to take apart the console yourself
