Anyone playing Galaxy 1 in preparation for Galaxy 2?

I know I am. I cant wait!!!!. Its getting 10's all over the place including here at GS. It's like Ocarina of Time all over again except this time its Mario.

I will be soon. I'm actually playing NSMBW at the moment. Still haven't finished that game.

Haven't finished SMG1 actually, so yeah... I need to get cracking.

I'm not so I can play SMG2 fresh and ready. It'll be easier to adjust to the controls that way.

I was, I was planning on finishing it tomorrow too but I managed to get a copy of SMG2 early from GameStop this afternoon.

After I do a few errands and manage to pull myself away from the explosion in System Wars Ill sit down and put in some serious play time.

I am. I have about 46 stars with luigi. Galaxy 2 looks like a huge improvement over the first which i didnt think was possible.

No I would, but for some reason my disk won't play in the beginning. it works fine when I play from my file that I already beat the game on though so I was going to get all the stars, but then I remembered that all I have left are those infernal purple coin runs and levels where you control with the tilting of the wii mote, so I scrapped that idea too.

yea .. i got like 3 or 4 stars on my new file. :P

At the moment I'm trying to not go out and spend $350 on games, because I don't own a wii.

Already beat SMG1. Finishing other games so i can pick SMG2 up as soon as I can.

Eh... That is a bad idea. I just got done getting 242 stars again and I'm really not in the mood for Super Mario Galaxy 2. I'm putting my money towards anohter game. I'll get it later.

preparation? i think im already well prepared after beating SMG 100%, and i think ive been prepared for the last 20 years that mario games have been released ;) im just gonna get the game, turn it on and play it like a mario veteran on sunday.

I was actually playing Galaxy 1 for awhile, all I know is that Super Mario Galaxy 2 probably got a 10/10 when I beat the "Taking out the Trash" Bonus Star Mini Game.

Seriously that and the Collecting Purple Coins on Luigi in the Toy level are one of the Hardest Stars to Earn!

I think I only have 13 or 14 stars left.

Yes. I did finish it once but never got all the stars. Now I'm working on collecting all of them.

Yeah, I am. I am not aiming to get all 242 stars again, though. All I wanted to do is go through the game as Mario only and focus only one the main stars (none of the comet ones). I did however do those 3 annoying green star challenges and will do the extra galaxies in the garden at the very top of the tower.

I do not have Super Mario Galaxy or Super Mario Galaxy 2 but I plan on playing the first before getting the sequel, so yes, I will be playing Super Mario Galaxy in preparation for Super Mario Galaxy 2.

Maybe. I defintely won't be picking up Galaxy 2 until part-way through my summer vacation, if not later, so I'll have some time to play through the original again.

Yeah I am starting today but I wont get the SMG2 till who knows next month? So I am gonna have to suffer with SMG till then... but thats okay :D

Although I wont get galaxy 2 for a while since i only have money for one game and im getting red dead redemption

I've been playing SMG for the last two months in anticipation of SMG 2.

I came across the Final Battle and Credits of SMG2 last night. I couldn't help it... I HAD TO CLICK IT! It... it was too epic! I couldn't stop the video, then the fight got extremely epic and amazing... and THE MUSIC!... I just couldn't stop watching! :cry:

I have also been spoiled by the Sonic 4 vids... well it's basically my fault for clicking but its so tempting! :x

I got the last 40 stars that I needed in Galaxy in anticipation. Too bad that Galaxy 2 won't be out here for a few more weeks though.

I didn't expect it to get a 10 since it is a sequel... I was planning to buy MH3 on June and wait til the Holidays for SMG2. I thought the original was enough til December, but now I HAVE to know how great SMG2 is! xD

I beat that game 100% through at launch.

Came back to play through it again before I picked up 2 just to find that I can't play it.

Yes I am playing 64 as well.
