Have their own ID system in the games online? for example The Conduit has a friend list but to add someone you need to use a friend code could they have made the player made an ID at the start of online so that when you add someone you only put in their ID sorta like PSN ID but only for one game or doesnt Nintendo allow that. If they do however why dont developers do it? it would be much easier.

Well there is the Wii code which allows you to send messages/pictures to a friends Wii. Many of the new online games are allowing you to simply select a person who is already your Wii friend, and send them a message asking to be added as a friend for a specific game. Some new games even have the Wii friends list built into the game and automatically will add your Wii friends with the same game. EA is the only developer that runs their own server that uses its own ID system. They now have their ID system in addition to the Wii code. Developers can do anything they want, as long as the game still uses the friend code/wii code system. I don't see why it would take so much longer to enter in a 12 digit number than perhaps a 5-10 character name....

HVS tried to get around Friend Codes but Nintendo didn't let them. EA is the only developer who can use a friend system other than friend codes at this time.

EA has done it, but it doesn't connect to Nintendo WiFi, that is why. It connects to EA online or something like that.

Why is entering a 12 digit # so much more harder than entering a username? At the most, it should only take you about 5 seconds more, if it even takes longer at all. Jeez....

i think they could do it if they wanted. activision's been giving some steps in the right direction: add someone in your wii's address book and he/she is instantly added to your GH5 list.

As far as I know all EA games use the EA username. I know I signed up when I got Medal of Honor Hereos 2, but that same account let me sign into both Tiger Woods '09 and '10. I only had to create one username. This is the only company that does this though on the Wii. A few games like Tiger Woods 10, Guitar Hero 5, Mario Kart Wii, and The Conduit either automatically add your Wii system friends or let you invite them through the Wii system code. EA can do whatever it wants since it uses its own servers. I assume that's some rule if you use Nintendo's servers you have to do some kind of friend code system.
