ok so i was thinking of selling my Wii to get a PS2 and some old games. and i was wondering if the price i'm asking for is too much or too little. so far the "bundle" includes.... the wii system with the AC cord and outlets...NO sensor bar...2 wiimotes with wiimote battery charger, 2 classic controllers, an SD card, and 3 gamecube controllers. i don't have any disc games, but i did go thru and found that i have 16 wiiware games and 117 virtual console games installed. (oh and 1800 wii points left over) so i was gonna ask for about $250 - $300for everything with the wiiware and vc games still on it.at first i was gonna delete all the games downloaded and just sell theWii and allfor $100, but i realized i spent a LOT of money on those VC and Wiiware gamessince i first got my Wiiand i would like to at least get some of that money back and notjust gives those games away for free. is that a reasonable price or should i go higher...lower...? and everything works like new...i keep all my stuff in very goodcondition and i did no modding to the Wii.

No sensor bar? The people aren't gonna want it if the controllers won't work with it!

yea true. but then again they do have over 100 games to play that dont require the sensor bar to keep them busy while they look for one. its not like the Wii is totally inaccesible without it.

But don't you need it to navigate the menu?

Sensor bars are $7.50 at Nintendo's Online Store. Or I'm sure you could find a nice wireless one on Amazon for cheap too.

Or use candles or LEDs.

no you can use the classic controller to navigate the main menu and the shop channel. you need the sensor though to use the mii channel and photo channel, but i hardly used those so i didn't worry about it. and like the guy above me said, you can find one cheap online for about $10 or less. and whenever i needed to use the sensor, i have nice little lampthat i use that works like a charm as a sensor =)

i have no idea and i dont really care lol. the new Wii seems a bit.....ummm...weird....to me lol. i'm not all into the whole "touch screen gameplay" or the move your body to play a game like that lame Kinect thing for xbox is or using motion controls and all. when i play a game....i wanna just sit down, hold a nice controller in my hand, and play games the way they were meant to be played. thats why 90% of my games are VC titles lol.

the wii u has traditional controls, lol ,guess you havent seen the controller , dont be judging it ,

as for multiplayer they will use the cla$$ic controller pro or cla$$ic controller for that,

which is also a traditional controller

Technically the Wiimote will work without a sensor bar. You just can't use the pointer.

I'm always sitting down while I use the Wiimote.

Play games the way they were meant to be played? And just who says they were meant to be played one specific way?

ok so i did all the math...counted up all the Wii Points ibought with point cards and my credit cardin the shop....the amount of money i spent on points to download games (which was a LOT more than i originally thought)was $970. sooo....yea...so i'ma ask for $350 for the Wii and all. in my opinion, $350 doesnt sound too bad when you consider ihave almost $1,000 worth of games already downloaded on the Wii lol. does this sound like a good deal?

well....considering you play nes, snes, sega genesis, gb, gb color, gb advance, sega game gear, sega saturn, sega dreamcast, ps1, n64, ps2, gamecube, xbox, ps3, xbox 360, neo geo, turbografix, sega master system, and other past consoles....by simply holding a nice controller and pushing buttons WITHOUT the use of touch screens or motion controls.....what do you think? it may not be the specific way, but its the best way and the real way.

Well you certainly wouldn't have held one of these in your hands:

(That's the standard Neo Geo controller)

So anyway, are you saying thay PC gamers aren't playing the real way? They don't hold hold the controls in their hands, and in a way the mouse is a kind of motion controller. Also you don't just hit buttons on a modern controller. You also fiddle with analog sticks and apply pressure to analog triggers. These are things those earlier controllers didn't have.

Dude... PS2's and its games are DIRT CHEAP these days. Why on EARTH would you get rid of almost 1000 dollars worth of classic VC games for something that you could just save up for for like a WEEK and get???

Honestly it sounds like a REALLY bad case of impatience :( Save up, buy a PS2, have all your games and thank me later :P

There is no way that you will get $250-$300 for that not even half of that. Sorry not going to happen. You would be lucky to get 100.00 for that.

Not a chance that anyone is going to pay $250.00 Sorry not going happen.

this has nothing to do with PC gamers btw. talking about Console gamers. Also yea duh you use analog sticks and trigger buttons on modern controllers. the idea was just the fact of playing using a nice controller no matter wha kind of buttons it has as long as it doesnt rely on motion controls or touch screens.
