Best DS vacation game

So the holidays are coming up and if your going away for a relaxing vacation like me you know it's essential to take a great handheld game to occupy your time around the pool when your not reading swimming or out exploring. So whats your greatest DS or old school Gameboy game you've ever taken on vacation with you?

Mines probably Golden Sun on GBA, awesome game.

hmm, for DS Id have to say when I went to Florida I had a great time with Viva PInata Pocket Paradise, however as far as retro games go, Mario Tennis on GBC is a good game if you only got like 5 minutes of free time "at the pool"

Last time i went away i managed to complete Henry Hatsworth, great game.

Ok seriously, this is starting to anger me. Everyone needs to stop with the "Look at the stickies please, I'm a wannabe mod" posts. The TC isn't asking what game to get, he is trying to discuss what good vacation games are out there. Last time I checked, the stick did not have a section that read "Vacation Games". This is getting ridiculous. People want threads like these directed to a sticky that is barely used and never updated, but just let the hundreds of Pokemon threads fly.

Anyway...

i guess the greatest ds game i brought on vacation is kirby super star ultra. some pretty kickass game modes and tons of extras, its worth a look!:D

Big Bang Mini is a great game...snazzy effects and an explosion of colors make it a great shoot-em up type of game. Plus the controls is very sensitive and easymaking it funner not having to deal with random glitches and crap.

They may basically be the same, but technically they are not so it doesn't matter...and he is asking you opinion on some games you like for vacation...not a game he can later on buy!

On Topic: I think the Phoenix Wright games are all really good vacation games....especially if you never played one! I find that if you play an attorney after about 4-6months from the first time you play it you can acctually get some good re-playability! After all you probably forgot a lot of it already!

On my trips to disney when I was younger I always had a Game Boy Color to play Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow with. I easily passed the time that way. As for ds if I hadn't beaten it already it would be Custom Robo Arena, I could play that for hours. Right now im in a rut where I turn the game on and get bored within 10 mins so im having a hard time thinking of something else.

GTA Chinatown Wars is the best option on your vacation.After all it has got a 9.5 rating from Gamespot.

It is the best DS game ever.

Clubhouse Games has tons of options for you.

I bet Civilization Revolution would be a good vacation game...

(Those are just three...there are tons of great vacation games available)

Summer vacation :P

Let's see...I had a great time with the minigames in SM64DS/NSMB, and I finished a really hard case in Phoenix Wright: AA during a 10-hour plane ride. I also have fond memories of the Minish Cap, which broke on a boat (the kind you have to row, not a cruise) trip, but was heroically fixed by my dad. Good times...

Mario Kart is always good. Mario Party (though I haven't played the DS one) is always a fun game to play. Kirby is a good one. And since I am a HUGE Mega Man fan I always have at least 2 Mega Man games with me wherever I go. :P Have fun on your vacation!

I always remember completing Super Mario Land: 6 Golden Coins multiple times while I was a child.

On the DS, I would have to say any of the Pokemon games.

Proper ones though, not the dungeon ones.

Phoenix Wright lasted me a pretty long time.

Definitely Jump Ultimate Stars, i'm speaking from experience and that game lasted me days while i was away at Hawaii for a whole entire week.

Pokemon will also do :P

Chrono Trigger is my best bet

It wold be Grand Theft Auto Chinatown Wars & Yu-Gi-Oh 5D's Stardust Accelerator, those are the main ones I take with me out on trips.
