What game do u feel is the best designed at the girl demographic?

_=pastgamesrule=_

-Since there aren't that many out there currently I tried creating an idea on my blog (it's the 2nd post). It's a spin-off from the Crash Bandicoot series.

The games best designed for girls are probably the games designed without girls in mind. The few female gamers I know play many games from Halo and Tekken to Command & Conquer and Final Fantasy. Not games like The Sims, Animal Crossing or Cooking Mama as TV adverts would suggest.

Cooking Mama. *runs*gonzales1

Cute, real cute. I recently blogged about a game called Zenses that was coming out later this year. That is geared more towards women. However, I still play a broad range of Nintendo DS games and enjoy anything from FF IV to Civilization to Cooking Mama to Clubhouse Games.

Oddly, I don't think I've played any of the games targeted at females. I loved animals crossing but I don't think that was completely gender specific. I tend to stay away from them.

I'm a girl and my favourite games are Final Fantasy games, Animal Crossing/Rune Factory, Nintendogs, NSMB, Zelda, Castlevania.. it really depends on the girl. If it's a younger girl, Nintendogs or Animal Crossing are great. With older girls, they could like anything from Zelda to something God of War-esque (like me ;D)

Harvest Moon Cute is pretty good. Animal Crossing is addictive for anybody! MySims is great for younger girls/boys.

Nintendogs - only if you LOVE REALLY LOVE dogs!

I think that there are a lot of DS games that will appeal to girls as the DS is a console very much designed for everyone. However probably any game that has pets or animals in it, inparticular Nintendogs.

Girl here!

I have no idea what age you're focusing on but...

I personally really enjoyed The World Ends with you, cool gameplay and nice story. I think any girl would like it, but that also counts for guys, I suppose. But it's not really suitable for kids younger than ten or twelve, imo.

Kirby Canvas Course is nice colorful and pink, I think girls would like that, plus you have to draw a lot and that's nice too.

Soul Bubbles is a great cute game with cute sounds and cute images. Blowing around bubbles, can;t get any friendlier!

The Pokemon Games are a recommendation for all girls/guys/kids, they're lovely for everyone.

Professor Layton and the Curious village- maybe a bit hard for the younger kids but definitely a game that trains the brain and is fun on the other hand too!

The Tamagotchi games for the younger girls, they're quite easy but fun!

Trauma Center: Under the Knife 2, can be a hard game but is fun for a girl with great ambitions in the future ;)

Cooking Mama is a fun game with lots of bright colors - it's not hard and definitely suitable for every age.

Honestly, the games that appear to be targeted specifically to girls, like the Horszez (along with the 33,000 other 'z' animal titles), the diary games...stuff like that, they're generally pretty awful.

There are a ton of games on the DS that really appeal to all genders/ages, though...the Brain Age games, Animal Crossing, Cooking Mama (it's a good game, for anyone)

Super Princess Peach. That struck me as being targeted toward girls more than guys.

Crap! we can't catch him, he's too speedy.

My sister plays lots of stuff that includes brain age, wario ware, zelda, and EBA. Thats just on the DS though, she likes to casually play hardcore games :D

*drums fingernails in annoyance* Hardcore girl gamer here who just got her mother into the ds and wii. My mom is a new ds and wii gamer who absolutely LOVES Animal Crossing, Nintendogs and most puzzle games (Tetris is a good start). Also the Mario games are good for everyone, and for some gentle competition, try Clubhouse games, Mario Kart ds or even Bomberman Land Touch, with its creative uses of the touch screen and plenty of fun mini games. /rant Don't think that just because you are a girl does not mean you have to like like "girly" games. Look at me, I play Mario, all puzzle games, turn-based/real-time strategy and harcore rpgs and rougue-likes.(Lie Izuna and Shiren the Wander or FF IV) Heck, I'm probably more hardcore then most GUYS I know! (Who play nothing but shoot-em-ups and fighting games or only MMORPGS!) /end rant

I dunno, I went into Gamecrazy a few days ago and on the "games for girls" shelf they had two pink Nintendo DS' and 'My Personal Weight Loss Coach'. I thought it was pretty insensitive though so I told the manager and she changed it.

That's really bad actually! I'm not suprised they changed it. But then again they shouldn't really have a female-only section. It kind of suggests that everything else is for males only.

I don't really believe in games "Targeted for girls" except things like Harvest Moon DS Cute...I play any game :) Usually these sorts of games are targeted at 6-12 year old girls!

Although I really really do enjoy Animal Crossing!

Whatever games "targeted" for guys is also targeted for girls if you ask me and this is what Nintendo wants I believe. Whatever game a girl wants depends on her preferences so it varies like someone above said. Animal Crossing, Nintendogs, New Super Mario Bros, Tetris DS, and even Brain Age are some of many games a "suited for" da ladies

Okay, perhaps I went too far on my last post, but I see more female gamers doing more of the hardcore gaming stuff than what's really recommended in the critics eyes. I read in an issue of Nintendo Power once that there are more female gamers than male gamers. Incase this post goes bad like the last one *runs like Bret and Jemaine in the third episode of Flight of the Conchords*.
