Haven't played MK Wii yet, but from what I've played DS is the best. Although if I were you, I'd wait for the MK Wii to come out everywhere and for more professional and player reviews to come out for it.

Well, I'm limited to the Wii. I don't own a DS; unless, they start bringing DS games onto the Virtual Console.
In my experience I found Mario Kart 64 to be the best followed by the original on the Snes.Shyn_1
I think that's really only true if you have someone that is willing to play with you everytime you want to play. Because the single player in both gets stale pretty fast. Not that the newer ones have great single player either, they just have more to do, and DS and Wii both have online for when your friends aren't around. But to each their own I guess.

Although nothing beats the SNES' version of battle mode.
Right now I'd give the crown to Mario Kart DS hands down. It took everything from the previous games and jacked up the awesome juice :P Though I have to say, looking at videos of MKWii gets me pumped....and the online gets me even more amped. I can't wait to own every single person here in a race. :twisted:
