Well the review for Boom Blox ISN'T.Relys
He says that it's an excellent puzzle game, fun by yourself but really fun with others. If you don't like quirky characters and childish cartoon stuff, you might be annoyed by the presentation. And there are some minor problems with graphics and physics.
There's the summary. That, plus videos, plus other reviews, make me believe that I will really like this game and won't care about the faults that he points out. The review does its job.
You can argue that the score doesn't match the review text (though I'd respectfully disagree), but in all honesty, I don't care. As a gamer, as someone who will probably buy this game, I don't care what number is tagged onto the review.
As someone interested in gaming journalism, though, I would like a review score to match entirely with its text. But different pros and cons have different levels of value for different people, so we can't argue definitively about a score matching the text. But I've already explained the sole purpose of a score, so I won't go into that again.
