The funny thing is that Sakurai wants to improve Brawl over Melee with better graphics, physics and adding online, while the Wii isn't the right console for such improvements. Not using the Wiimote is a missed oportunity. I'm all for motion (coherently added) in Brawl.
I heard somewhere that brawl will be played without using the motion controls is this true if it is it really sucks.Baller4444yeah its true but the wii remote will be used
Huh?? Are you serious? How will it be bad? I think you're forgetting what the Wiimote and Nunchuk's main purpose is....IT'S A VIDEO GAME CONTROLLER. Not a magic wand that ALL you do is wave it around. Yes, it does have motion control, but not every game has to involve motion control. This game is going to be pretty bad then

Like maybe you use it and you're character does a funny animation or their fighter's stance
It's weird, I thought the Wii was all about motion controls, and it seems like all the games are mostly having problems...and when a Nintendo brand isn't using them, makes me worried.jonathan_rectorI think the only reason they chose not to use the motion sensing is because they thought (and most of us) it would be easier playing with a gamecube/classic controller so it would be more like ssbm.

[QUOTE="Wintry_Flutist"]I agree. SSBB is the only game I would be very pleased to see without motion. I would like to see the stable of characters and maps grow. Thank god it's true. I don't want to play a fighting game with motion controls, especially Super Smash Bros. Kikoukenoh really, so it is true then? hmm hm. Â personally, i would be open for whatever the creators think make a good SSB game.
I heard somewhere that brawl will be played without using the motion controls is this true if it is it really sucks.Baller4444ok motion controlls? or no wii-mote? cause i mean, yeah, im kinda expecting no motion controls, so what if theres no motion controlls? not every game is going to have it....
[QUOTE="lzorro"]I don't think any one was wanting the motion controls :| GC controller is perfect.yodariquoGC controller is perfect for a GameCube game. I don't want a GameCube game. I want a Wii game. yes.

Here's my rant about why motion controls would not work.
Sakurai himself is a man who wants his game to be enjoyed in the best possible way. Unless Brawl's mechanics were totally scrapped for all new ones JUST FOR THE SAKE OF FOLLOWING TREND that would be plain stupid. I respect nintendo for having the balls to not put motion-sensing in one of their products since it would be more fun (Sakurai himself said that) simply with GC controls. They can put in wii controls as extra functionality for the stubborn bastards who want to play with them - but the game is already based on Melee's mechanics and because of that, no one's complaining.

ya, exactly
