Call of Duty 4 for the Wii, CONFIRMED!

I just read on Kotaku that CALL OF DUTY4: Modern Warfare is being ported to the wii. hopefully it will be a better than WaW was.

Is this good or bad? opinions?!

holy hell, talk about a watered down port. they should at least make it significantly different.

I wish they would have just done a Wii exclusive COD. Oh well though, when a company offers to port over one of the best FPS's that came out this generation we should be thankful.

Already got it, would have preferred a new COD tbh.

LOL We've had threads about this already. My opinion: as long as the controls are customizable (like the Conduit), the graphics are decent, online works pretty good, and they didn't take out any modes and other stuff, it should be fine. Oh and the price should be $40 max. Preferably $20 or $30. Chojuto

This confirmation thread is almost as late as Activision has been in getting the first Modern Warfare to the Wii..

And yet I'll still be picking it up regardless. I need something relatively decent as The Conduit fell short.

This seems like a facepalm to me. *faceplam* Not to you, TC, but the idea of porting a 2-year-old game to an (admittedly) inferior console. It's going to look horrible and control dastardly :( Activison, you greedies'!

well I do know one thing, if they don't up the graphics from WaW, I won't buy it.

I've heard nothing but good things about that game in particular, but it looks like a god awful PS2 game. There's no excuse for the game looking like that.

yeah, it definitely did lol. I would be embarrassed if I was a developer, and I released that (especially withActivision's financial backing).

WaW looked fine on my 50' HD CRT Tv, but looked like dog crap on my 22' 1200p LCD screen.

Well, if they include all original MW maps in addition to any expansion maps as well as some original Wii-only maps, it could be worth a buy even for people who already own the game on another system. I think that the best thing they could do to make the Wii port of Modern Warfare really stand out would be to add some never-before-seen maps. That would catch a lot of duplicate buyers (buyers who bought the game for multiple systems), IMO.

Good to see the Wii getting a CoD game this year too.

I'll pass on this one though. Already played it on 360 and PC ;)
