SI: The first question I would ask is whether the service is fun if you're 5 or 95, if you're tech-savvy and if you're computer illiterate. If that's not a hurdle we can get past, it's not something Nintendo is going to pursue.
ya so basically because 5 yr old and 95 yr olds alike cannot enjoy cod4 for the wii it will never happen, i've lost my nintendo faith after hearing those words. nintendo doesnt realise gamers deserve gamers games not non gamers deserve games. sva eup for a couple months and buy a 360 like me.

Yeah, so basicly you took what he said and either completely didn't understand it or didn't wanna understand it. That, or you took it out of context. First of all, he was not talking about games for gamers or games for non gamers, which is what you have implied. He was talking about "massively multiplayer worlds" or "virtual worlds" like Second life, and if you had read the question, which was "Do you have any plans to do a avatar based service, like Sony's Home for the Ps3(a very non game thing imo).
So tell me this, what does any of that response you posted Mr Iwata have to do with CoD4 being on the Wii? Before you come back to the Wii not being able to handle CoD4. Why not? Graphics? Graphics can be scaled down to fit the Wii's constraints, they fit it on the DS didn't they? Its A LOT less powerful than the x360 or ps3. Oh but you say the DS version doesn't do online, ok it doesn't(i dont think). But the Wii has proven it can do 32 player multiplayer games(MoH:H2). Can't do the advanced pyhsics and AI that the x360 and ps3 can do, Again.. look back to the fact that they made a DS version.
But the Nintendo only cares about the hardcore gamers and they only wanna make casual games and non games for casuals and non gamers. WTF? What is a non game? You play it on a console, ITS A GAME. Ok I play CD"s on my console, its not a game, Movies, its not a game. Ok, I'll give you that. Different subject matter though, and I wont go into it because it would make my post even longer than it already is. I you had READ the article you tried to quote from, you would have noticed Mr Iwata mentioned this very subject and said Nintendo hasn't forgotten about the core group of gamers, but by targeting the casual market of gamers they can expand the core group of gamers. Besides, like he said... we were all beginners at one point in time.
So basicly, if you don't own a Wii, which I doubt you do(I however do), don't try to talk about it. Its like President Bush trying to talk about being a good public speaker, its not a very wise thing to do. No I don't own a 360, but soon. x360 and Ps3 has their fair share of casual games and "non games" as well. But not gonna talk about those. Good day and sorry for the long post people.
