Dial-Up should die. I really don't think so for your case.

I've heard people say they've been able to get the adapter working with dial up at least for the virtual console. Online play is another story...

No the usb wifi adapter doesn't work with AOL unless you do a hack and the hack appears only workable on broadband connections.

Why are you on dialup anyway? Go to broadbandand in a few months, you will want to slash your wrists if you ever had to use dialup for more then a week.

I wish I could get Broadband or DSL.I live deep in the country so I can't get the good broadband. There are like one or two I can get but they aren't popular so I don't know if they're fast.If I did though is it free to get on the internet on the Wii?And who here thinks they should put Banjo Kazooie on VC?And what are some of the prices all of you can get for Broadband? Here's one I can get:

Lavon Shores Wireless: Beginner(300 Kbps)24.95!Intermediate(600 Kbps)34.95!Advanced (1 Meg Async)44.95!

Is it any good?Prices and Kbps?

Wii online is free. You just have to pay for vc games, internet browser licensing fee.

As for the broadband do a google search for reviews.

Rare owns the rights to Banjo Kazooie, which of course, is owned by Microsoft now, so you will not see it on VC. There is a Banjo Kazooie game in the works for the Xbox 360 right now. DId you play Diddy Kong Racing for the DS? They completely took out Banjo and Conker from the original version from N64 because of Microsoft's ownership. On a different note, I wasn't aware people still used Dial-Up... i remember the horrors of AOL, like 6 years ago. It is not a thing I would ever want to experience again, or wish upon my worst enemy. Sorry you live in the boons, but at least you have cow tippin' and frog giggin'.

I know ur can use it with a 64kbs (Myconnectionspeedaftershaping) connection which is close to dial up, however Im not sure if the adapter is able to pick up on dial up connections. Also, if ur thinking of upgrading to a satalite connection because dsl isnt avaliable where u live, from what iv heard about it ur better off sticking to dial up. Satalite tends to drop out every 15-20 minutes so you'll be getting d/c'd during your games alot.

Satelite is good for browsing the web. Games it is not good at all. You are communicating with a sat and lag isn't really noticeable while surfing.

$99 for Cable Internet and TV, and two movie channels, So 44.95 is better than I'm paying.

And yes the wii internet is free as far as gaming goes, but obviosly the VC costs money
