What you have found is a pirated game. They don't work with the DSi due to anti-piracy measures implemented in it. Stay away from it, and in future, I suggest you do not trust ebay.

This. Either it's a pirated copy, which won't work/could mess up your system/game might get messed up, or you have an extremely uninformed seller. Find a different copy.
