Can the WII compete with the PS3/360 graphically?

This is likely what we will get, a low cost minimal effort affair like Spiderman 3 (which the image is taken from) on the PS2 and Wii were:

The PS3 hasn't even been pushed to its limits and you made this thread?

The Wii definetly has the potential to go farther than what we've seen, but no way it would compare to the PS3 nor 360.

no and nintendo never promised that, as far as sales its already beating the competition just like ps2 did to xbox and gc , and ps1 did to n64 and saturn note n64 was the most powerful that generation gc and xbox were more powerful then

ps2 so as you may also notice, this trend seems to continue,

just look at how ps3 is the most powerful console this gen ,

look at its sales,

then look at 360 which is the 2nd most powerful console this gen ,

siting 2nd,

the least powerful-the wii is already the market leader,

Is this at all accurate? 500 million polygons per second? I know that number goes way down once you add other stuff, I am no techie type so it's all a big grey area but doesnt that mean it should be producing better stuff then it has?

Since I'm here... No the Wii can't compete with the PS3 or 360 graphically. You can tell by looking at all of the games except MAYBE the Conduit, which looks very good but still is behind most of the 360/PS3 games.

The Wii graphics are decent, at most.

The 360/PS3 graphics are outstanding.
