Answering your question i think yes, is possible to watch movies on the DSi but you would need a SD card that can hand the size of the movie in terms of MBs but as that DSi can support SD cards up to 32GB you are not gonna have problems in that. Your only problem would be money since (i think) those cards are pretty expensive.

I know its illegal, but i'm not encouraging it, i'm just saying that EVEN IF THE DSi DON'T READ MOVIES, its possible that some third-party development develop a way to do it, i'm not saying that i will develop or the people SHOULD develop, i'm just saying that its POSSIBLE.
