Chinatown Wars Texture poppin

Having recently bought GTA Chinatown wars after hearing great reviews about it, but having played the game for about 5-10 hours when driving I somtimes get the odd texture pop. Now I have the first DS and its been to hell and back and decieded to keep its foot in hell, but it plays other games fine.

Is this problem just due to Chinatowns size or is it time to buy a DSi?

The DSi wouldn't smooth anything out because DS games have a specific allowance of RAM and other techy stuff. There's no way it's the system, (Especially if it's just a graphical glitch; all games have them) it's obviously the game.

No i just wonderd if it could be a connection issue to my screen or somthing crazy like that because my DS is quite old. And if it might effect other games later on.
