I havent seen any good AI thusfar :/ They either stand out in the open shooting until they die, or they run right at you, or run behind a pillar and stand there until the guy came around and killed them.

No, they switched to the horde mode type thing, the map is really big and seems cool, but I dont really see any progression in difficulty :/ it seems like the exact same number of enemies are there spread out through the level
Wreckem
I noticed that too and I hope their is some variety to the enemy types, but I doubt that will happen in the invasion mode unless I'm wrong.

Actually, The AI is VERy much more improved then that of the first, thought that doesen't say much.
And actually, the AI is cabable of some smart stuff. Unlike the first, enemies with different guns shoot at you in diferent ways (Snipers actually don't run at you), and i've noticed that enemies take smarter cover than the first. of course again that doesent say much but still, atleast HV is trying.

It was while he was playing the campaign level but he sounded kinda iffy about it. Invasion was kind of disappointing looking, especially having been playing Nazi Zombies lately, but if the splitscreen and online does alright I may pick this one up

The only thing I'm disappointed in is how bad the art design is on some of the stages. It may have something to do with the video quality or the actual game visuals.

But I found the design of the campaign stages not as bad as the multi. Maybe when I play the game on my TV when it releasesthe art design would look better.

Maybe that's the main demographics, but your point has nothing to do with the fact that the hardcore audience (that is usually the one that posts in video game forums) gives a lot of attetion to The Conduit, either to praise/hate/discuss the game.[QUOTE="intro94"]

Yet his portfolio in games says otherwise, his only job as lead didnt even get released, he lost the main writing job in borderlands, and he was merely a revisor in the two other games.
To be clear, I didn't lose the main writing job in Borderlands. I handed in a full cinematic and VO script including secondary dialogue for the original vision of the game. When a new character was added, and the art style and attitude changed to its current form, the writing was done in-house (likely to save the expense of a freelancer, but that's speculation on my part). The producer, game director, and audio director were happy with what I wrote for the original vision, from everything I heard.
And, yes, two of my published credits are for revisions, but revisions cover not only dialogue editing but cutting subplots, trimming cinematics, and other things as well. This is usually due to scheduling and asset considerations and can be quite extensive, depending on the amount of clean up that must be done.
For the record, the reasons behind the cancellation of Wings of War had nothing to do with my position as job lead. The troubles stemmed from other projects the studio was working on. The studio closed soon after.
I've done a handful of other story development and writing jobs as well, for projects that are either unannounced or were cancelled by the publisher. Frankly, that's how it is in the game industry. A lot of work never sees the light of day, even if the project is close to finish (or even sometimes when it's finished).
If you don't like what I've written for Conduit 2, that's fine. But keep in mind there's an entire story, far beyond the snippets shown in trailers so far. It's perhaps a bit unfair to judge an entire work from a 30-second excerpt. Either way, I would appreciate not being derided for what strides I have made in an industry I love. You don't know me, and you probably aren't familiar with the body of my work. I'm not saying I'm awesome, but I'm not a hack either.
No way, we really have someone in the industry on GS boards? AWESOME. Hopefully you've tried to make the story clearer. The story in Tcon 1 was really confusing/unclear. Looking forward to it honestly. Assuming the story and environments go together very well and doesn't make it seemlike we're jumping all over the place for no reason.

The point is that like HVS, you are unproven in the gaming industry. Maybe your borderlands writing was amazing, like with HVS's promises, it never materialized, so we didn't get to see it to decide. Revisions are no indication at all as to how the quality of the story will be when given a full writing role. As with borderlands, maybe your writing was fantastic in the game that was cancelled, but gamers still never got to see it to decide for themselves.
Congratulations on breaking through into the gaming industry, but don't expect praise to be thrown around by people until you're able to show your stuff in a video game beyond revisions to someone elses writing.
As I've said in other threads regarding this game, I do hope it's good. I would love for HVS to break their bad track record and for you to get a fully written video game out there, but both of you have to prove yourselves first, and in a game as divisive as Conduit, that's not going to happen until we see the finished product.

It was the exact same game they just changed the visual style so it would sell under a teen rating instead of mature. The gameplay is what they promised, and once again they didn't deliver.
THIS is what they promised:

You could be the greatest surgeon in the world but if you take up residency in a practice that kills most of it's patients you're going to be called a quack and no one is going to let you touch them.
You're in bed with High Voltage, a company that's done nothing but made bad games.
See this right here?
You're part of that
Now do you expect anyone to approach you or your company like they're actually interested in making passable software let alone good software?
So they're unable to finish the game on time?
That's pretty much High Voltage at it's best
So now when it's broken we'll hear excuses like "oh the deadline and we couldn't delay it any longer"
Jaysonguy
So you are saying Nintendo is just as bad as HVS because they couldn't finish the Wii Zelda on time?
Pushing the date back gives them time to fix whatever problems come up.
