Do you think that data design should be banned from making wii games? Or should they be given a chance to make better games? They are best known for the games Anubis the second, ninjabread man, Billy the knock off, action girlz racing, ect.SMDan20May be they should close their company.
[QUOTE="goblaa"]That's just like asking if it's legal for a boss to fire one of his workers. Nintendo is liscencing ddi's games, so it's up to them entirely if ddi gets banned from nintendo or not. i think it's more of a case of "is it legal for us to close a company that's done nothing illegal?"Is it legal to ban them?

But DDI isn't hired or employed by nintendo. They're two seperate companies.
your one to talk. It looks like you've spent half your life on gamespot. And I am not even making a big deal about ddiIf the presence of bad games on a console affects you that much, you might want to reconsider the degree of your attachments in life. :P

Well, some people like the box art of ddis games, so they buy the game, and they get sorely dissapointed, and prevents them from buying more Wii games. And sometimes people buy games like toy story 3, spiderman 3, iron man games, ect. that make the wii look bad. and ddi is just making it look worse. im just asking other people's opinions about ddi, and you guys are making a big deal about it..SMDan20That people have a name out there: idiots and toy story 3 (the game) is awesome
BTW, gamespot is NOT a real job. He looks at a computer screen all day. And if you call that "working", then i wonder how hard real work is to him.SMDan20*facepalm*

basically its a licencing thing. any company that wants to make a game for a console needs permission from the manufacturer. so if DDi want to make wii games then they need a licence from nintendo. im not sure if its legal for ninty to revoke a granted licence if and when they see fit.....but they can stop DDI from making games on their platforms by refusing to provide a licence. also its a 1 licence per game system as far as i know. it would be nice to have DDI removed from development. they have contributed nada to the wii. but ninty have probably gotten a fair few quid in licence fees from DDI so its in their interest to keep them and any other publisher. there still going...clearly someone is buying their games (they probably only need 1 sale to turn a profit on their games :P). its a business thats working. its unfortunate....it would eb great if they actually put some effort in...but they wont because what they are currently doing works.BTW, gamespot is NOT a real job. And if you think I'm referring to him being a moderator, then.... you should probably rethink some things.

International hot dog taster?
That would be awesome, truckloads of sauerkraut pull up every day, the mustard wagon ringing it's bell.....

If someone buys a crappy game and is so discouraged by this that they never buy another game, then that's their own darn fault and their loss, not to mention that that seems rather unlikely considering that everyone knows that Nintendo games are good; that's why most people buy the Wii in the first place, after all. Nobody has ever looked at the box art of Ninjabread Man and then bought a Wii purely to play that game.
Also, you seem kind of confused, as none of Toy Story 3, Spider-Man 3, or Iron Man were made by Data Design Interactive; they were made by Avalanche Software (Toy Story 3), Treyarch (Spider-Man 3), and Secret Level (Iron Man).

Purely for the record, no, I don't work for GameSpot; moderating is just a volunteer activity on the side, and since my place of employment seems wholly irrelevant to this discussion, that's all I will say about that.

I didn't say that spiderman, iron man, and ts3 were by ddi, I just said that they are other bad wii games, and that ddi is just more bad games. ( ts3 for the wii only, the other versions are great.) and.... I'm sorry for having a short fuse and for predicting gamespot.com is the only thing you work for.[QUOTE="SMDan20"]@burno or whatever his name is Working their asses off? Ha! No such thing. Staring at a computer screen and pressing buttons does not take any effort at all. Now, think about that while " working" on a computer in your mom's basement.BrunoBRSyou have officially lost all my respect. thank you for ridicularizing my job. and if you think it's easy, try yourself. oh and BTW the name's "Bruno". not really that hard to remember.
I know your name because it's right to the left of every post you make.
I mean I picked up on that really fast in this process. You see a post and then look to the left and you can see who wrote it
Not too sure why anyone is having trouble knowing who's posting what
Actually if you're on a message board and you don't know who's posting what should you really say anything to do with computers?
Nothing is gonna change my mind. Btw, you said you have to " work" on very tight schedules, huh? Then why aren't you working now? Lunch break? Oh please, stop trying to sound tough. A wuss like yourself doesn't know an inchling of what hard work is.SMDan20"Work" isn't just physical. Social skills, for example, take a lot of work for some people. Being courteous also takes a lot of work sometimes, even though it doesn't involve any physical labor. And sitting down to THINK for hours on end can be just as exhausting as working hard physical labor for hours, sometimes even more so. I've done both.

exactly, and those programmers that sit in front of the screen all day have to think ALOT. Its like maze of math having butt secks with your brain (something which TC obviously lacks..... )

What do you consider as work then?...what do you do for living?

reminds me of my last day before vacations... "WRITE THIS 2 PROGRAMS OR YOU FAIL" "but... but teacher! i'm travelling today, you know they aren't the easiest things to make!" "then hurry". ok it wasn't like that and my teacher's awesome, but boy was it a tiresome 3 hours... didn't even have lunch >.> but back to the topic, jordan (JordanElek, the guy with the assassin's creed avatar and green username) summed it up. why do you think studying all day long for a test the day after is so tiresome? it requires brainwork, and brainwork requires energy. A WHOLE LOT OF IT. so "psychological" work can be just as tiresome as working out all day. and BTW, a job isn't measured by how tired you are at the end of the day, just so you know.
