de Blob? Thoughts?

Did anyone else really enjoy this title?
I thought it was different and unique.
Pretty decent platformer to play until SMG2 or New Super Mario Bros Wii.

It's decent...Me being stupid, I bought it for 50.00$...month later or so, i found it on ebay for like 25!

Every once in awhile i pop it in, just to play free play and color buildings. I personally would give it like a 7.5 or 8...

Yes, quite different and unique. Good but not great, perhaps becoming a litle bit repetative as the game wore on. It also made me feel slightly motion sick for some reason. That never happened to me before when playing games.

It was very nearly my GOTY for 2008.

De Blob. Definitely the Wii title of 2008 and easily one of the best titles of the entire year from any console. Bar none. Just awesome! I'd love as many people as possible to play it! I emplore anyone who reads this thread and hasn;t played it to go out and purchase this underrated masterpiece!

on topic: i played de Blob, but i couldn't really get into it. even then, i found it pretty unique. it reminded me of when i was trying to remove gum from the bottom of my shoe with a toothpick

I played it, loved the game world, the characters, the presentation, the multiplayer, everything. But I feel the game could do a lot to keep itself more fresh. I got quite bored of it, and would leave it alone for long stretches before returning to it.

Galaxy was the opposite, and I think this had much to do with a game world that was more linear and smaller, which I feel works better for platformers. I dont know. I dont think de Blob would benefit from taking Galaxy's example, but something needs to happen to liven it up if a sequel is ever made.

One of the most original titles I've played in a while. Visuals were beautiful and the soundtrack was by far amazing.

It's a great game, but mapping the jump to waggle was probably one of the worst development decisions ever.Rocky32189

And you know, I am going to completely agree with this statement. De Blob was near perfect and my favorite game of 2008, but I did hate having to swing up to jump. It was forced and unnecessary. Thank god it wasn't a game breaker.

Wholeheartedly agree. Imo, De Blob is a little overrated on this board. It's in no way a bad game, and was quite clever and unique at the beginning, but once the novelty wears off it's really pretty repetitive. And the length of time between saves forced me to keep playing long after I was ready to quit.

Great game but the levels are really long - well, they take me a while to finish because I try to do everything.Haziqonfire

This is one of those games that fit many different people in different ays. Itrs def. something you have to TRY BEFORE YOU BUY, this is crutial. Its a hate it or love it kind of game.

i played through the first 5 levels then got bord

I got that game 2 days ago and I thought it was pretty good.

Fun game, took a while to get in to it, but I enjoyed it.

Hopefully we get a sequel some day.

Oh! Okay nm then. I thought you were dissing my praising of Gabu lol. Yeah I don't know why but I do that haha. And I almost agree with you. TWEWY is SO good that either of the two titles are good for me as goty. I own them both and couild never get enough of them.
