I'm curious, why is it that there are no such things available on the Wii? Is the Wii even capable of such things? In contrast with Xbox live arcade, where they sell new games made by indie developers, could the same be done on the Wii's Shop channel? And could updates be downloaded to update games with faults (not to name any) or actually download new content for the games? Such as a new dungeon for zelda perhaps.

Sorry if the English is bad, or things don't make sense but i don't really know how to word all this.

They'd release an add-on, not an updated wii.  They can't alienate the 7million people who have already got theirs.

A nice USB hard drive would do nicely ;)

Aie. And they wouldn't even necessarily have to make the accessory themselves... a simple patch that adds generic USB storage device drivers would do.

The indies games had been confirmed to be on the Wii Shop Channel. As for the others things, all Nintendo has to do is bring an external HDD.
