Basically the jist of this game is to collect "wave people" using the 3DS's AR sensor and then building a team to run through some dungeons and beat the Demon King. It's pretty typical RPG fare in terms of story, but the real hook is using the AR sensor to get a good team. Your wave people's stats and abilities depend on their size, color, and build, so chances are you won't ever have the same team twice, making multiple playthroughs more fun and each experience different from the last. For those of you who aren't sure about the game, there will be a demo available so you can try it out. The game is already out in Japan and is from the developers of Pokemon Colosseum. The title literally translates to "Electric Wave People" so there's a chance that it might be called that or something similar when it does show up.
The game is currently TBA, but as the link says, it is coming to western eShops, which is good news considering the surprising lack of good RPGs both on the 3DS in retail games and on the eShop.

More Gameplay
I remember seeing some videos on this back when it was first shown off and I was pretty sure it was one of those games that would never leave Japan seeing as it's a very obscure RPG. Personally I'd rather it use Miis and you could either use the AR scanner or Miis that you've street passed, but I guess it doesn't matter. This looks like it could be a surprisingly deep RPG without min/maxing and stuff like that, which often turns people away from RPGs. And because it's an eShop game, it's going to be pretty cheap, so it's going to be pretty accessible to most people. I can't say that I trust the developer all that much because I haven't heard a lot of people pining over Pokemon Colosseum, but the gameplay that I've seen seems very solid and I can't see myself having any major issues with what's there. It's not going to be a Pushmo, but I think that enough people will buy and enjoy this game that you'll see it pop up on favorites lists like VVVVVV and Mighty Switch Force does.
