[QUOTE="rahzel31"]PotentialNaseruThat probably is the single best word to describe, not only the Wii, but Nintendo in general.
Agreed, but potential is useless if you don't live up to it. That being said, Nintendo did a lot with the DS -- more than I ever figured they could -- and could probably pull the same together for the Wii, so long as they play up the gameplay and not the gimmickry. Wii needs less ports and less half-baked, tacked-on motion-sensing controls. They also need to pistolwhip their third-party developers because they've completely dropped the ball so far. They also need to hire an outside collaborator who knows what the hell they're doing with online gameplay because Nintendo doesn't.
Revolution? Innovation? I disagree... motion sensing has been done all over the place before -- by Nintendo too. The Intellivision had a remote control as a controller, so that's not new either. The DS uses a stylus? So do PDAs. So the innovation there is that it just plays next-gen PDA games. I think the revolutionary ideas and innovation are talked up a bit much for Nintendo.
