I thought it was alright. There are a couple games I'll pick up. I'm a little disappointed with the lack of a Wii Zelda game, but I'll be ok. How did you all feel about it?

I personally liked it but found it a little boring with all of the sales talk and random chats that I didn't care about. Overall though it announced some games that I am looking forward to so to me it was good.
Boring presentation, and only two games demonstrated, but given the number of announcements and games made for all tiers of player, I'll give it a "Yes."
It was def neutral for me, i really needed Nintendo to blow me away this E3 since i've been down in the dumps about them. It was decent, but i was nowhere near what i needed.
the only true surprise for me that was Nintendo related was Golden Sun DS, since that series was presumed dead.
2 New Mario games and I never expected another Metroid game to be announced yes it was a good conference.
I may be in the minority, and even though I've probably never said a bad thing about Nintendo in the near five years I've been a member on these boards, I thought the conference was very disappointing. Almost nothing new was shown. Another Mario Galaxy is completely unnecessary, why not a new concept? Yoshi just doesn't cut it. New Super Mario Bros. Wii doesn't look like it'll bring me anything truly new that wasn't in the DS game. Almost every third party game shown has already been announced. The new Metroid looks kind of cool, but still leaves me feeling "meh". And Wii Vitality? That was nothing less than an embarrassment. What the hell was that? Not to mention not one word on the Zelda game for the Wii we've been hearing about for years.
I'm really not happy with Nintendo. Hopefully tonight's supposed announcement will change my mind.
I liked Metroid and SMG2 other than that I thought it was terrible, Iwata's segment was particulary bad.
I can't believed I let myself get so hyped again.
fraz1776
How in the hell did you manage to get hyped beforehand? :D
[QUOTE="Jaysonguy"]Remember last year? Atleast they announced some new and interesting things, like Motion Plus, Wii Sports Resort, and a game that hadn't seen the light of day on the Wii yet, Animal Crossing. We got Wii vitality, a Mario Galaxy and New Super Mario rehash, and yet another Metroid game. Such a lame showing. No
I feel it was one of the worst efforts I've ever seen the company perform

Better than last year but I'm still sick of waiting for Zelda. Also, I don't believe they addressed any of the storage or wireless complaints. Two Marios and a Metroid just seem like a temporary solution.
I just hope SMG2 is better than the first one (yes, I didn't like it)
New Metroid = :)
Also, New Super Mario Bros Wii looks pretty fun to play with friends.
But... no Pikmin 3 :(
What storage complaints? They already solved that. And I don't remember complaining about any wireless problems....Better than last year but I'm still sick of waiting for Zelda. It still could of used a couple of more BIG announcements.
If they also shown a trailer for Zelda Wii, then 2010 would most likely be the best year of Wii.
- Mario Galaxy 2
- Metroid Other M
- The Grinder
3 games that I already know that I will be purchasing next year, and we haven't even hit midway in 2009 yet.
Still unsure if I want New SMB Wii, if the co-op play can be done online, then I may just pick it up.
But for now, I must not spend money, for the Conduit will be released in 3 weeks. I will try to make it last me until the holiday season, but most likely will not happen.
It was a lame show, as in, just some suits standing there and talking, but the Galaxy 2 and Metroid trailers were mind-blowing. I too was expecting a new Zelda trailer, but Metroid and Galaxy were so unexpected and looked so cool that I just can't help but smile like an idiot. The new 2D Mario actually looks very neat too.

ummm these shows are always suits standing around talking.... just saying
anyway there were some cool games shown towards the end, I don't get why people hype themselves up for E3 then go ballistic on the internet when they are dissapointed
Yea............I liked the last 10 minutes of it. I am pretty surprised at how much time they devoted to showing off Wii Sports Resort. I got enough of it last year. I did expect them to announce more games that utilize the Wii Motion Plus add-on. I was a little disappointed that they didn't say anything about a new Zelda game. It is funny how they can have 3Mario games on the Wii,and 2 Zelda games on the DS all before a Wii exclusive Zelda game.I really thought they would show some Pikmin 3 gameplay footage though. I am still wondering why they aren't doing anything with some of their other storied franchises like Star Fox, Kirby, F-Zero, Donkey Kong, even Kid Icarus and Earthbound.
Quick Question: When and where did they announce Punch-Out? That could give us something to look forward to as far as these other franchises.
I give the confrence a 7 out of 10.
How are none of you guys excited about Golden Sun? That pretty much made the conference for me (that and Metroid). I guess overall it was average, but it was still better than last year's.Englando_IVHey come on I'm plenty excited about Golden Sun even though I missed seeing it.
Why the hell do people call games rehashes just because they happen to share the same franchise name? It's like they haven't even bothered to look at the actual game previews! Metroid is getting a new direction under a different developer and the Mario platformer series hasn't rehashed a game since Super Mario Bros 2: The Lost Levels.
Disappointing. Notwithstanding 3rd party offerings, there was nothing that would make me say "Yay!" SMG 2 (read - expansion pack), SMB Wii (should not be a Wii title at all due to lack of use of Wii graphical capabilities - a Wiiware or DS title would be better suited), Metroid action adventure (?)... DSi lineup is embarrasingly bad... No new Pikmin, no Zelda, no Kid Ikarus... And "vitality" sensor is just another Wii Music like embarrassment - enjoy your Hospital Bed Simulator :(
Mario Galaxy 2 and New Super Mario Bros. are rehashes because they share the same look and concepts of previous titles. There's nothing really new. I'm especially surprised with Nintendo making SMG2, it's very unlike them making a direct sequel with very little differences to offer, at least not with their biggest titles like Mario and Zelda(quiet you TP haters, it' it's own game). It basically looks like the same game. It seems lazy on their part. Why the hell do people call games rehashes just because they happen to share the same franchise name? Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 - incredibly similar games. There's a difference. Give us an original Mario game and I'd be a very happy person.

You seem like your trying to say that Nintendo is perfect I don't think...They messed up a little at this conference to.[QUOTE="PopeReal"][QUOTE="fennec_fox"]

Super Mario 2 was different because it was actually another game in Japan, I'll give you that. But people like their Mario, even if I'm more into other stuff at this point.
My point is that another Zelda game is going to be just that... another Zelda game, just like the Mario games. Either way Nintendo will get complaints.
I'm really not happy with Nintendo. Hopefully tonight's supposed announcement will change my mind.

I agree with you. With the most to lose being at the top, Nintendo seemed to dissapoint a little. Some things about it were good, some not so much. When I think game I don't imagine watching my pulse and blood pressure while I play them. Maybe they made it for the older crowd, to make sure they're okay while they play...
And, there's a possible announcement tonight from Nintendo? I didn't find thatanywhere, could you provide a link or additional information about that? Thanks :)
