Did you like Nintendo's E3 conference?

remember guys we also have nintendo's fall conference where they announced punch-out and sin and punishment 2, and also release dates.

Well I have to admit, after Golden Sun 3 was announced, I really didn't care, it was epic win for me. SMG2 and the new Metroid just made it even more epic.

The 2D Mario sidescroller is meh. The Metroid game looks amazing though. I'm surprised we didn't see Pikmin. I thought for sure that would be there. And no new IPs. But 3rd party has sooo much stuff coming out that I'm not really upset.

super mario galaxy 2 = WIN

Metroid : other m = EPIC WIN

no new zelda = FAIL

new super mariosbros wii = awesome

wii sports resort 2 = looking cool

wii fit plus = could care less

wii third party = WIN

all in all a pretty damn awesome E3, waaaaaaaaaaaay better then last year. :)

It was a pretty bad press conference. It lacked focus and direction. They are all over the place. It seems like Nintendo is trying so hard to please everybody that they ended up pleasing no one.

First the good stuff...

1. New Super Mario Bros Wii looks really fun coop. I'm looking forward to it.

2. Metroid Other M looks awesome.

Now the bad stuff...

1. Wii Fit Plus is really disappointing. Only 6 new exercises? This is not even worth an expansion pack...let alone new standalone full price game.

2. Wii Sports Resort...Yawn.

3. The DS segment is pretty dull.

4. Wii Vitality Sensor? Why announce it when you are not going to say anything about it.

5. Super Mario Galaxy 2 is ok, but it looks awfully like Super Mario Galaxy. It's the same exact thing. Not sure if I even gonna buy this one.

So, other than a couple of promising new game announcement, it was a pretty lackluster press conference overall.

I may be in the minority, and even though I've probably never said a bad thing about Nintendo in the near five years I've been a member on these boards, I thought the conference was very disappointing. Almost nothing new was shown. Another Mario Galaxy is completely unnecessary, why not a new concept? Yoshi just doesn't cut it. New Super Mario Bros. Wii doesn't look like it'll bring me anything truly new that wasn't in the DS game. Almost every third party game shown has already been announced. The new Metroid looks kind of cool, but still leaves me feeling "meh". And Wii Vitality? That was nothing less than an embarrassment. What the hell was that? Not to mention not one word on the Zelda game for the Wii we've been hearing about for years.

I'm really not happy with Nintendo. Hopefully tonight's supposed announcement will change my mind.

I, for one, was blown away. I was totally against a new Mario Galaxy--until I saw it in action. It looks brilliant. Even better than the first. And really? You saw the new Metroid trailer and thought "meh"?! I think it looks mind-blowingly awsome, maybe even better than Corruption. A Zelda would've been nice, I'll admit, but given the titles that were announced (did I mention a new side scrolling Mario game?!), I don't see how you could be dissapointed.

Actually, I would've been ecstatic if they'd shown this during the conference. It's not Wii, but it's still win, in my book. And speaking of Nintendo games they're showing off but didn't mention... what the hell? :D

I'm disturbed that Wii Sports Resort was the most appealing game shown, but then again I'm very excited about Wii Motion Plus, which leads to my biggest disappointment. I've come to expect a new great peripheral announcement a year, Wii Vitality was just lame, it makes no sense.

It was going very badly until the end, with the exception of Golden Sun DS. There was far too much of what we already saw last year with Wii Sports Resort. Iwata's speech and that new addon was by far the worst part. I was impressed by Super Mario Galaxy 2 and the new Metroid, but I'll give New Super Mario Bros. a miss.

There was a big difference between OoT and Majora's Mask, so that's a pointless comparison. For the record, I didn't like Majora's Mask....

Admit it, Mario Galaxy and Mario Galaxy 2 look identical. I expect more originality from Nintendo. Giving us the same core gameplay and mechanics with new levels and Yoshi thrown in is lazy. I'm sorry. It just seems like an expansion of the first game rather than it's own thing.

Not even Iwata could give a good example for what the Vitality could be used for? A lie detection game? Meditation? A game controlled entirely by you heart beat which you can't possibly control? What the hell?

It wasn't great, but it was certainly much better than last year. Anyone who claims this was worse is seriously lost: Wii Sports Resort + Wii Music + Animal Crossing v. SMG2 + 3rd person Metroid + NSMB.

I felt Neutral.

I Love Mario but two Mario games at once isn't such a good thing we need Variety.

its nothing personal but hearing people bashing nintendo really disappoint me a lot at this moment that I'm really happy about their E3 conference(Galaxy is my favourite game this gen)

I dont know what the hell werepeople expecting but as you said is your right to be disappointed, but please dont judge again a game for a 5 min video

Yes I do and this was about 100 times worse

It started off meh but once they revealed Super Mario Galaxy 2 I was happy. I nearly crapped my pants (with joy) when they showed Metroid: Other M.

What an improvement! I wasn't expecting the plumber to be at E3! I'm especially psyced for Metroid. Kinda reminds me of God of War....

No, I really didn't like it, but I was expecting something like like it, so I'm not too disappointed.

Although the conference was ok I put yes mainly for the new Metroid and Super Mario Galaxy 2. Cammie was boring but at least she toned down. Iwata was boring.

Also, I learned last year not to expect anything before the conference starts. I'm sure more games will be annouced later this week and in the fall.

I was really hoping they would show us something that would finally sell me on the Wii. I was dissapointed.

I thought it was alright. There are a couple games I'll pick up. I'm a little disappointed with the lack of a Wii Zelda game, but I'll be ok. How did you all feel about it?
