i have a lan adapter for my wii, but i was wondering if i could use that to play online(like to play pokemon revelotion online), or if i needed to buy a wifi adapter
Nope, as long as you have an internet connection on your Wii(LAN Adapter if you don't have a wireless router). That little WiFi adapter for the PC is good for DS and Wii. You don't really need it to play the Wii online if you already have the LAN Adapter(I got a Nintendo-brand one too). lol, it's ironic, the Nintendo brand LAN Adapter was like $28-$30 online(with tax and everything), and teh crappy 3rd party Wii Lan Adapter is like $30-35 before tax.
The DS is the only one that REQUIRES a WiFi connection(or just a plain wireless connection actually). The Wii can connect to the internet wirelessly also if you have a wireless router, but if not, you could get a LAN adapter for Wired LANS(what I have). But you could be lucky and have someone that lives above you that has wireless :-P. But you could try and get a cheap Wireless LAN Router for like $40 at some stores.

man ur lucky... i have all nex gen consles yet none of them wont connect to the internet i have 0$ and my dad wont let me move the router or the consoles... this blows
