i was looking to get cooking mama, but then i saw the price at 50 bucks. i think its way overpriced (especially when its for my gf). i thought majesco was a budget company and the ds port was a budget title. some of these games like warioware (which i actually bought) dont deserve to be 50 bucks since they look like they were put together in 2 days.

That is a big problem I am having with Wii games. Trauma Center and Cooking Mama are both the same as the $25 DS counterparts but twice the money. And actually Cooking Mama has more content on the DS if what I have been reading is true. So more money for less game.

it's wrong, what I read it has more content. Also imo, trauma center is well worth 50 dollars.

I hear what your saying but people are buying those games at $50 so they have no need to lower prices

yeh companies don't lower prices if things are selling where they're at, they lower em when selling stops to... boost sales lol

This is economics 101.  The market is supporting $50 so the price will stay there.  At some point these games will become "bargain" titles because they won't be able to compete with newer games at $50.  There's probably a formula that determines when to lower a game's price so that profits can be maximized.

The kind of woman who needs you to spend money on her is not the kind of woman you want to be with.

If you don't like the price of games don't buy them
It's as simple as that

The Wii is sold out everywhere and there's tons of great titles right now so you're in the very small minority when it comes to people who don't want to pay the money.

Wait until the prices go down, the games are still going to be flying off the shelves while you wait.

Marble Mania only costed me 40 dollars. I am thinking of getting either TMNT/Godfather/MoH:Vanguard.

Yes but Nintendo is such a quality company they wont charge 60

Good call for pointing out that they COULD charge more but they don't

i think it's funny when people say a game isn't worth ___ the only time a game is cheaper or more expensive based on how "good" it is, is with used games and even then it's more based oh how well it sells (it's popularity) rather than directly how good it is.

To most people, it turns out that the justification of a game's price is largely dependant on the game's replay value.

I must not fit in the "most people" category since I think zelda and trauma center for example are great and well worth 50 dollars, but I wouldn't go replaying them anytime in the near future, or at all.

I'd spend the $50 bucks on Cooking Mama if I were you; my fiance was ecstatic when I got it for the DS. Now he wants me cook the recipies that I learned....

i just think that the price of a game should be in relation to the production that goes into the game. there are too many simple "flash" games that are coming out for wii that charge full price. a game like gears of war or zelda are definitely worth the price. but simple games like warioware, cooking mama, or line rider (a internet flash game) should be a budget game. Majesco is a budget company so they should charge the budget price like the ds counterpart since its essentially the same game.

That is good to know, I plan on buying both games, but I already own both on the DS
