Does it really drain my power even if i'm not playing multiplayer?

I don't leave my wi-fi on because my neighbors steal it with their XBOX 360. >.>
Uhm, I've never heard of tha but it's possible. Turning the wi-fi settings of on your DS might save power since when they're on the system is always looking for a signal. And with work, there's effort. So when it's looking for a signal as well as running a game it might lose some power. Nothing too significant though.
to be honest, i'm not sure. since you have to manually search for an access point (instead of the dsi automatically searching for one), i don't think it uses any battery power if you do leave it on. i turn it off just in case, but i don't think it makes much of a difference.
If you can prove that, you can sue them. Y`know.I don't leave my wi-fi on because my neighbors steal it with their XBOX 360. >.>

It doesn't do anything if it's on besides use a little more battery (Because the yellow light it on). Besides that, it doesn't use additional battery, unless connected.
I think the reason for the option is if you don't ever want to go online with anything. The yellow light is always on to let you know that the Wireless Communications are ready to use at any time. It would've been more useful to me if it turned on while using it, since it flashes slowly when Wi-Fi is in use.
I don't think it will do anything, since Nintendo has it on by default.
