I wasnt such a big fan of it becasue It took me a little bit longer to get the controls right and i got stuck on some parts too much ( I still have it)
Most definetly a sequel or another fps could refine the control setup. If you look at the dev team and what they managed to accomplish in a short amount of time for a new game type they did an incredible job.I haven't played Red Steel and it definitely sounds like it's getting a bit of a bad rap. My question to those who have played it is this: Does the game show promise for this kind of control set up in either a sequel or in other fps? Â

[QUOTE="stealth360snipa"][QUOTE="meimnobody"]The AI is no worse then most console games. In fact it's often a tad bit better. 360 and PS3 game AI is often worse then the AI in red steel if you actually examine what the enemies are doing. meimnobody

I am not. PS3 and 360 enemy AI isn't any better then prior console gen AI. It's up the programmers to program the AI. Added power doesn't make the AI better by default. You still have to program it. Programmer competance has more to do with the AI then the hardware. Resistance enemies who were so hyped up were found to be brain dead stupid outside the dev showings to the press. There are pc games five years old with enemy AI that are much better then anything the xbox 360 or PS3 has pumped out. The reason being the pc game AI enginners were quite brilliant and took two to three years of work. Hardware wasn't considered the factor it was the programming tools. This also applies to physics engines. Once again programmers not the hardware have far far more to do with how the physics react.I actually agree that the A.I ain't all that bad. Not terribly smart, but they're just as strategic and aggressive as Gears of War A.I (I kid you not).
I think the main complain is the turning, very slow. Even with that, I still enjoy it. I love Red Steel! reycli123the turning is slow to you??? lol, i can turn around fast and pop a few caps in a****.... you justgotta get the groove, and if u dont get the grove than this game is not for you.... i love it actually.... its not my fave game on wii,but i do think its fun, but its realy just a game to figure out how the wii and wiimote/nunchuk works its a great beginner game.. but if you own like 10 wiigames for example, you wont lie it because like said when its one of the first ames you play your gonna like it and its a great beginner game

it has flaws, true, but so does every game.
And its was Started on GCN Hardware then Ported to the Wii to finish, plus they did rush it abit.
Ubi is already working on Red Steel 2, infact they are over 30% done (Acorrding to one team member on Ubis message board), and they hope to have it out for the Holiday season.
