I like the lite better, but the one draw back is that it has higher chances of hinge problems, and one of my lites hinges broke:(. But the Fat is more durable, I like the look of the lite.
I imagine everyone's opinion will be very similar to yours. I hadn't heard of the hinge problem on the DS Lite up until about 2 weeks ago but I don't like the sound of it. I have the original DS and I'm quite happy with it despite it being very clunky. I would love a Lite though, it's beautiful but that hinge problem.. It just really sets me off.
I have owned and played both, and I definitely prefer the Lite (even with the hinge crack; it's just one tiny crack that doesn't change anything at all).
Definately the DS lite version! Mine's never had any problems and usually i end up losing or braking everything i get! :lol:The screen is wayyy better than the old DS and I find that the sound is too. So Yeah I'd say I prefer the lite by far. :)
I have a Phat for a while now.No bad sides,except the brightness,on sunlight the screen looks like it's turned off.I sometimes have the urge to break it in half,which never happens due to it's hardness.If i tried that at a Lite,it would turn up on eBay lol
I like the fat better. The buttons on the fat are so much better. The lite buttons are so loose.goodgunda
I agree. If the lite had the buttons off a phat, it would be much better. I do have to say that I prefer the size of the lite and the screens are much better.
Lite for me. I have had no problems with the lite at all, and I found my kid's DS Lite at the bottom of the washing machine after the spin cycle, and I freaked. Pulled it out, and after it dried it worked just fine, no problems. So like I said, Lite for me.

How often have you heard a DS fat had cracked hinges?
maybe because people don't look after their belongings very well, if your have a proper case and treat it properly the problems would be much less. when people complain about these things they often leave out the part where they have thrown their DS across the room and don't really care for it.

not unless u treat ur ds like sum old brick- in that case the phat is better- and less button noise too, for stealthy recon handheld ds missions. (that wasn't sarcasm)... (that wasn't either)
