Do you prefer Fat or Lite DS

Original DS, I like my wo.. consoles to have abit of fat on them.

The fat DS is more curvey than the Lite so its more comfortable in my hands, isn't as fragile and it fits in my hands better.

I have the fat DS, but I like the Lite DS (I prefer a lighter screen).

But unless my fat DS breaks, I'm not going to get a DS Lite.

Back in the days, you could ask the same question- GameBoy or GameBoy Pocket? Of course people will say the Pocket because of it's physical aspects. But with age comes beauty and handhelds are no different.

I had played in both handhelds and I prefer the DS lite,absolutely!tequilero

It's impossible to find covers/cases/skins and the likings for a Tubby. I'm thinking about trading in my 2 Phats and some other stuff for the DSi. It looks pretty sweet.Mikfoz

I've got 2 lites, 1 broken. I was thinking of buying and old phat and swapping out the screens. I hate not being able to play GBA games without having my lite look like a transplant gone wrong.

So, yeah, I preffer the phat better.

I own a lite as at the time i bought I had no other choice but to buy one, and well I much prefer a Phat. My friend owns a fat, and man it just feels so much better.

I hate the glossy, fingerprint magnet the light has, hate the sticking out of the GBA carts, the buttons, and how it just doesnt feel as comfy.

But, atleast it has 3 upsides, longer battery life(with lower brightness ofc), screen is better, and although I dont like the size because of the GBA thing, it is smaller, and sleeker.

Well I've been rocking a phat since xmas 048), and like it better. When I play on different people's lites it feels very thin and not very sturdy. My phat could probably survive anything.Dreamable

than the phat and its brighter.

Still have a Phat and it still works well, but whenever the DSi comes in a nice color I'll buy a DSi

I think most people know that the original DS was built as a stop gap against the PSP which came out at about the sametime. After a few years Nintendo were able to refine the technology behind the DS and improve it.

I've used both the DS lite and DS Phat but I only own a DS Phat and I'm happy enough with it. One thing I didn't like about the DS lite was the sound quality which is quieter than the DS Phat.

The DS lite is an all round better machine but I guess that in a years time someone will create a thread saying 'Which DS do you prefer Phat, Lite, or DSi?'
