although i'm still playing it because i haven't finished it yet. :)
I played through the whole game and after getting about 105 stars with luigi I stopped for awhile. I picked it up again just recently and am striving to get all 120 stars once again.

I completed it on January 14th I think it was so it took me until a month & a half after the launch which means I havent really played it for about 6 months. The only thing I ever do on it now is go manta surfing & one more thing that youll just have to see when you beat the game.

It came out November 13th so that would be two months :P. I got all 60 stars on November 18th and I beat it On December 13th.
When I originally bought it at launch I played it for about a month straight. Lately I've been going back and playing a bit here and there. It all depends if I have a new game or not.
i got all the stars with mario. I then played it with luigi and got 3 stars and im like "wow! luigi can jump higher, is taller and is green and is skinnier. but who wants to play a game twice in a row?" for me, all type of media is a one time experience. But like playing metroid on a higher difficulty is fun, but playing through a game that i already know whats going to happen and have to watch the tutorial again, is boring as... cant think of anything right now... crap. havent touched mario galaxy since. also i think they rated it too good. i didnt think it was that amazing
I beat it once and didn't bother to finish again with Luigi, so I guess I don't love it quite as much as some of the other posters. Having said that, I'l probably go back after I get my sensor bar replaced to play some of my favorite levels, such as the final fight with Bowser and Luigi's Purple Coins. I don't think this game is as good as the older Marios, or Ocarina. The world designs seem a little too random to me.
