Do you think characters such as Link, Samus, Fox, and more be in Mario Kart(s) and the Mario Parties?
I think so because nintendo characters such as Diddy Kong are in them, why not Link or Samus? What do you think?

Maybe if they made a game called Nintendo Party or Nintendo Kart, because if other nintendo characters were in it there would be no reason for it to still be branded with Mario in front of it. A game like those would be cool with me
including mario's first game: Donkey Kong. No, because it's a Mario game. Donkey Kong happens to be in the game because he's been in lots of Mario games over the years.

Dunno. Maybe they should expand the SSB series, into not a fighting series, but a series about putting all the Nintendo Characters together.
Mario Kart and Mario Party most of them have only characters related to the Mario series, and off course DK was on the first arcade game, and I thinkt that has to do with the "Mario" thing in the title of those games.
I can't really imagine Samus throwing red shells or bananas while driving a kart ^^ So no I preffer them to stay at their own series and keep them away from Mario party games, except SSB :P
In Mario Kart? Sure.
In Mario Party? No because there are not going to be any more of those. 8 is enough.

I can see it.It would be somewhat interesting to see a Nintendo-Kart...but not Nintendo-Party. As for having them in Mario Kart/Mario Party, definitely not.
Well it's the Mushroom Kingdom, so only Mario characters allowed. It would be like having Link in Super Mario Galaxy, or Mario in Metroid Prime.
They would have to change it to Super Nintendo Kart (or Super Smash Kart, etc.), and have other themed levels, rather than all the Mushroom Kingdom sort of levels. So it would be like Nintendo Kart, and you drive aroundPort Town,Hyrule, or Tallon IV etc... That would be pretty cool actually. Lol.
Sounds awesome to me.Well it's the Mushroom Kingdom, so only Mario characters allowed. It would be like having Link in Super Mario Galaxy, or Mario in Metroid Prime.

ya cuz they are donkey kongs side kicks so it makes sense and there playful and not serious like link and samus so why not?I have a question regarding this topic actually... Now Donkey Kong is in Mario Kart, and fair enough, he was with "Jumpman" in the initial arcade hit, so he's allowed... But then Diddy Kong and Funky Kong? Should they really be allowed?

DK started out as the bad guy in the first mario game, that's why he's in it. And its Mario Part/Kart, so no. I'd rather only have characters from the mario universe.

Agreed.
I agree. They should just change it to Nintendo Party and Nintendo Kart. It would be much more fun playing as all of your fav. Nintendo characters in party and raceing games instead of just fighting.

Super Smash Bros' context made those characters work in the game, but I just dont see it in any other Mario spinoff series. It doesnt really make any sense for them to be there.
I have always wondered about Donkey Kong... how awesome would it be if Nintendo made a Mushroom Kingdom / Donkey Kong Country crossover where Donkey Kong was the bad guy again?
I could see a massive crossover doing well in terms of an RPG, too, like Kingdom Hearts or something.
Yes. And I'll tell you all why, sooner or later they're gonna either run out of fresh ideas or worth while characters to add in. That's when you know they're turning to guest stars, & it will not hurt the series. They could call it Nintendo All-Star Kart or Mario All-Star Kart. Besides, it'll help get other kinds of fans interested in the series.

Then they will be copying Sega, they are making Sega Superstar Racing or something like that.
Mario Party they would not fit into, they are WAY to badass to be playing minigames.
Link would have to ride epona in MK (lol) and that wouldn't fit in at all. And I can't see either of them throwing bananas or turtle shells. They just won't fit in. It wouldn't hurt the gameplay at all, but it would just be weird. I say no.

I'd say so. The Donkey Kong franchise has pretty much been merged with the Mario franchise (in the sense that both series' exist in the same universe, that is), so I don't see why they shouldn't be allowed, as they are technically from the Mario universe.

No, Link could still get a green woodish kart. As for Banana Peels & Turtle Shells, hello, Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
Sounds like to me you're all are afraid it'll be amazing & it'll blow all the earlier installments out of the water.

I don't play Brawl with items on. And I'm not afraid of it being good, I just don't think they belong. Both Zelda and Metroid are violent games, Mario Party and Kart aren't, Link without violence would suck, same with Samus. And they are called Mario Kart/Party for a reason. F-Zero isn't name specific, so if Samus were to show up in F-Zero she would fit in nicely. It is futuristic and there are bounty hunters, just like Metroid.
It woudn't be Mario Party or Mario Kart. Those are exclusively for Mario characters. DK is ofcourse a Mario character. It would be something like Smash Bros. Racing. It could be fun if done correctly but Link and Samus wouldn't fit into the Mario Kart style. So overall it would have to be a different franchise. Probably couldn't be a cart racer either.
