I just want to see a HDD cuz then Wii-Ware developers can make bigger and better games. They have very little space to make a game right now
that would be cool but if it costs as much as the 360 one ill never be able to afford it damn why did i buy the crappiest 360, without an HDD XBL isnt that cool:(murat8
it won't cost as much as the 360 one, Nintendo is known for cheap but quality stuff. Wii the cheapest console. My SNES is still working even today, and I got it over a decade ago.

awww you got a core?
Thats why I got an elite so i never ahve to worry about space.
I sure hope so.
Although, this is a much bigger problem than Nintendo thinks. I've been a firm believer in just having the SD act as a harddrive to where you can play games off of one, but seeing as how it took more than 5 minutes to copy Ocarina of Time onto my card, that may not be possible.
I need more storage for my games. It's unacceptable that I have to copy and delete and/or re-download my games anytime I want to download something when I have a page and a half of channels left. The whole 512MB thing wasn't thought through enough.
Nintendo's not stupid.
Well, they were stupid enough to release a next gen console (with a virtual console, and presumably with some idea of DLC and wiiware) with only half a gig of memory. 4 GB would have been sufficient, 2GB probably not for me but I could see why they would think that way. But 1/2 a GB? Big FAIL.
They just don't know how to make a HDD xD + they are in love with flash memory...the easiest way to get more memory to the wii, would just be USB support of a external hard drive and im happy... they don't have to make an officiall wii hdd.
If they do announce it and say you will need a new version of the wii than im gonna hate Nintendo for the rest of my life ^^
I want one but if they don't talk about it thats ok. Its the games that really concern me. I'm hoping they talk about F-Zero, Pilotwings, Animal Crossing, etc.PopeReal
Would be nice, but without it the Wii will be cheaper and that is one of them main reasons its 249.99JRYAN34
If they could manufacture enough systems, the best thing to do would be to make 2 SKU's. One of them would be the one we have now and the second would swap Wii Sports for an HDD or some kind of flash memory.
No. E3 is about games, why confuse consumers with hardware?
We've been wrong about Nintendo the last 5 years, so why hype yourself up for Nintendo to disappoint again? Just sit back, watch the conference, and pick up tidbits they give us.
At least this year we have a channel to watch it on, I' m more about what appears there than I am about the main event.

Well i'm talking like a sold seperately HDD, so you don't have to buy it...
I think expanded functionality with SD cards would go a long way to helping the situation.
Personally, I believe Games Radar has a good idea. We all know that Animal Crossing is coming sooner or later, and we also all know that it would be a title suited to expanded online functionality, including DLC. Nintendo has been happy selling peripherals and hardware bundled with software (Mario Kart, Links Crossbow Training, The Wii itself and Wii Fit). What if Nintendo built up Animal Crossing as their next big title for the holiday period, and bundled it with a 20gig hard drive?
The thing would be ergonomically designed so it slotted into one of the usb ports directly, and it would curve around and sit nicely next to the console. I dont think thats really a stretch of the imagination.
Then again, we also all know that Nintendo is very stubborn about such things. At least the high ups know about the issue, and may well be looking at a resolution. I really hope they do something like this.
If Nintendo can just make an update to enable the use of USB external hard drives, then there wouldn't be no need for them to make thei own hard drive. WR_Platinum
