Do you think the new Wii Zelda will be a huge and good as Twilight Princess?

It seems that they are not so far in development judging by the interviews and also it will be released in 2010. Will it be more of an expansion pack for Twilight Princess or will it have as huge a world?

Also thosw who says it has been in development for 2 ½ years(I even heard 4 years, basically haven't read the various interviews. In 2007 it was stated in an interview that the game was in the planning stages, in E3 2008 it was stated by Myamoto that the Zelda team was trying to come up with some completely new ideas for this Zelda and they haven't begun development yet. This year they wasn't even able to show a trailer. 4 years in development. Whoever said that needs a vacation and a huge on. Thats just plain dumb. Myamoto even said in the latest interview that they still were in the planning stages and only had concept art to show so far. My guess is an expansion to Twilight Princess!

I don't think it'll be an expansion, but it might run on the same engine, much like Majora did to Ocarina. Lol, that game even had all the same characters! It'll be a different enough game to be amazing though. Zelda seems more about the concept with each game rather than the style or location, so I have complete faith. Also, seeing as Galaxy 2 uses the same engine as Galaxy, it makes sense that this what they will do with Zelda.

It has been in development for along time like Super Mario Galaxy was. I can see it being better than Twilight Princess espcially with WiiMotionPlus.

If Nintendo is smart (which is arguable) they would want something new and fresh seeing as it's the first exclusive Zelda title for their next gen system. It sounds wrong to call it a next-gen system seeing as this generation is already a good 4 years into the gate, but Nintendo hasn't pulled out any of it's main first party games.

Visually it will be much better then the last Zelda as the team made the last with the gamecube and the team has stated before they can do much better on the Wii. Can't wait to learn more about the motion controls in it!

I think it will be all new.

I KNOW it will be better tha Twilight Princess. Look at it this way, better graphics, way better gameplay as far as fighting (Wii MotionPlus). There is no doubt in my mind it won't be better.

it will be much better most likely. And No, is not that he only had concept art. He said is not far into development. It wouldnt be wise to show unpolished 3d screenshots that would raise criticism. And certainly it wont be an expansion to a gamecube game.Gosh, that would be embarrasing. It was bad enough but understandable with the time constrains. But use an old gamecube engine on a new wii game that is NOT a gc port?sorry, thats crazy to think. And nintendo is too smart to do something so dumb.

It must be sad having such incredibly high standards. I've recently started replaying it, it's still amazing. And yes, I think the new game will be just as good if not better than Twilight Princess. They're obviously putting a lot of work into it, as well as implementing Wii Motion Plus controls....it'll be awesome.

I don't have high standards, it was just boring to me. It felt too similar and the fact that Nintendo was hyping it up for so long didn't help. Thats why I like their new trend of showing things late in development so I don't get over hyped.

I certainly hope that the next Zelda is always better than the last. Either way, I've enjoyed all the ways I've ever played (and I've played all of them except PH) I'm still looking for that Zelda that matches Ocarina of time and a link to the past.

Hype is relative to the individual anticipating it and the amount of control they have over their expectations. I honestly wouldn't blame Nintendo if your mind built it up to a higher standard than it was delivered at. Unfortunately, its your own fault. Many others, including journalists, fell into the same trap. I anticipated Twilight Princess to be a fun game worthy of the Zelda title. I got what I wanted, and I was completely pleased, I wasn't blown away, but I certainly wasn't disappointed by its effort. That said, I do like Nintendo's stance of showing games later, it actually brings some excitement back into announcements instead of long, drawn out periods of waiting.

Anything would be better than Twilight Princess. It was such an easy game and I thought it just had enough to scrape by as a Zelda game. I mean, it's not like a BAD game or anything...but when you compare it to other Zelda games it doesn't really stand up too well.

Honestly, I'm not excited by the part where Wii Motion Plus might be required to play the game. Waggling you hand every time you wanted to swing your sword in TP was bad enough. I don't want to have to actually swing my entire arm to hit something. I could really care less about having 1:1 control when I'm shooting my bow or something. I would rather just point at the screen and shoot. If the new Zelda game does require Wii Motion Plus I'll still buy it, but I'll be bitter because that's another $30 or so that I'll have to drop just to play one game on a console that I rarely play.

An expansion...to TP? That'd be the worst thing imaginable.

TP was a rather mediocre game in general let alone a Zelda game. Of the three launch titles I bought with my Wii TP was the worst.
