I've been pleased with the first party titles so far. But as long as third partygaming companies continue to make games for the system with quality and class (Zack and Wiki), the system will not only be good, but great.gwarlito
Agreed the Wii has probably seen the same number a great 3rd party offerings in one year that the GC saw in it lifetime, which has made all the difference and in some cases they have shown Nintendo a thing or two about innovating using the controller if you ask me.
I don't feel that the Wii has made any games thus far (in my category of interest) that are overwhelmingly great. I've been a Metroid fan since the beginning, and I thought mp3:c was kind of bad. The only game I've really enjoyed and looked forward to playing thus far is Fire emblem, and it doesn't look, or feel like a Wii game at all (mostly because the graphics are the same, or possibly even a little worse than path of radiance, and I use the gamecube controller).
Mind you, Zelda doesn`t count because I bought it for gamecube before I got my Wii, so I haven`t tried the wii version. It may very well be good but I wouldn`t know. I enjoyed it a lot for gamecube.
We need some more mature looking action games, that play like Dragon Blade, but aren`t quite as broken as Dragon Blade is.
I give it another year before I sell my Wii though.. cause xbox360 is only JUST coming out with its good library of games now. Bring on Assassin`s Creed and Devil May Cry 4 :)
